The location and staff were very good and easy to work with however the equipment that was provided to this location was terrible and the hidden costs didn’t help I will use a different rental next time

BRANDON VFirst I ordered my truck in tilsonburg and they sent me half an out of my way again ( this isn’t the first time ) … then were only going to accommodate me for 32 km it was 41 km away , so I had to call customer service. The guy that I had spoke to had given me an extra 52 km but never added it to my order , which in return when I had returned the truck, the guy didn’t give me my full deposit back , cause the guy at the drop off location said that I was 18 km over, which if you add 32+18 is 50 and I still had additional 2 km ….. then he proceeded to tell me that I was still 18 km over so I had to call customer service , now the guy with customer service realizes that yes I was due back my full $100 deposit , that I wasn’t over my KM and he sent to it back to my card … like I said above, this isn’t the first time gal has sent me on hour drive to get a truck with any additional kilometres added so I had to pay out of my pocket… The truck it’s self sounded like it was gonna die at any time , maintenance definitely has to be done on it … smelt like cigarettes… and I paid in full at the store that I got my truck from and he still requested that I put a deposit down when I didn’t need to…. SO ALL IN ALL, THIS ISN’T THE FIRST BAD EXPERIENCE I’VE HAD WITH U-HAUL. I WILL DEFINITELY HIRE MOVERS INSTEAD OF USING A TRUCK FROM U-HAUL EVER AGAIN IT’S NOTHING BUT THE RUNAROUND …. I will add the people that I do speak to you on the phone are very kind very nice but the service has definitely gone down a lot over the years and not to mention on weekends they up the kilometres to $1.92 per kilometre… ridiculous and outrageous if you ask me !!!

EMILY NCab was not clean smelling. Rust on base or rear roll down door marred my furniture. Fan belt started singing 50km from p/u point. The moving blankets I ordered and laid for were not in truck, or available upon request. 100km in the engine light went on. 140kms the ''CHECK STABILIZER SYSTEM' warning message came up, truck now lurches to a stop as you offense to slow down. An extremely unnerving and stressful experience. This truck is not maintained. DO NOT RENT IT TO OTHER HAPLESS CUSTOMERS. Why was it only filled to half with fuel?? Very inconvenient and time consuming. If I wasn't so very exhausted I'd have respectfully demanded a refund. Maybe ill just leave a google review to warn others.
