My return was the very first person to return a vehicle they said and they had to call their brother to come in to do it, so we waited. This is after we had confirmed the return time with UHaul, because we weren't going to use the vehicle overnight. And the person who came was then doing everything with 2 phones, it appeared he was doing the check in remotely with another person. Because we went over 1 or 2 miles, they wanted our credit card so everything could be charged. Only because the small amount was not a typical charge for UHaul rentals, it got denied by the credit card company. I had no issues with getting my credit card company to approve, but because it was all being done not on site, but at a locally owned small gas station, we had to start all over again from scratch and do the entire remote check in thing again. If a place is going to be a return center, then make sure you have everything in place in order to process returns, including people trained to do it, the equipment to do it, etc. This was not in a super great area of town, and there were homeless people sleeping right off the parking area in the grass, the customers coming in to the store part did not look reputable and my husband and I were quite sure one of them had a gun on them. I know the store didn't have control over that, and the personnel had bars covering the area where they worked, but it didn't help us any. I really don't understand why that particular type of location would have been considered a good location to have as a drop off location. With all the difficulties it took over an hour. I see now that the contract said in the info for the drop off location for us to call a 405 number when we arrived in OKC (which was not included in the info where you selecting a location) and that wasn't going to be helpful since we had to have the location for our load unlocked, get it unloaded, and meet with people, gas up, before we would have known exactly what time we would be returning. I am sure that I was contacted by UHaul and asked to confirm that different return time (for that same day) which I did, as I had put in my rental request that I would be returning the vehicle that same day.

Truck was very dirty. Good and sticky gunk in the floor board under driver feet. Food crumbs on both seats. Windshield was filthy and needed cleaned. Mileage was 33347 with 62 miles to empty when I picked it up. *I took photos.. Store was a head shop that sold booze and drug paraphernalia. Dude was nice enough but no means to care for equipment.
