VOLODYMYR SYour employee asked me if I wanted insurance, and I said no. But she anyway added it. When I pointed out that I had refused, she said, “That’s why we tell you to check the contract.” But why should I have to carefully review a long contract, when I’ve rented from U-Haul many times before and no one has ever tried to trick me? You should stop incentivizing employees to sell insurance, because for a few extra dollars they can destroy customers’ trust in your company. Also, I returned the vehicle within one day through after-hours drop-off. For some reason, nobody checked when I actually dropped it off, and I was charged until the staff returned to work, instead of for the actual period I used the truck. Everything else was excellent — the staff were polite, the truck was clean, and the location was great. I was refunded for the second day, but I’m still waiting for the insurance refund. I hope this will be resolved without unnecessary disputes.
