I booked for a different pickup location 1.5 months in advance, they changed it the day before to one that was 13 minutes away from the original. My truck was blocked in so I had to move the other trucks to get to mine. The lot is super run down and rough, I didn’t feel safe leaving my car there so I had friends come and move it.

No one was there when I dropped off the truck and when I called within business hours the next day no one answered and there was no answering machine. The business it’s self was pretty run down and a bit sketchy looking.
LESLIE RHave someone available to help deal with issues nearby. 1.5 hours to get keys. I was almost redirected to another site because of issues.
brian sI drove U-Haul's 10 ft Truck for my moving from the Oshawa area to Ottawa, Ontario on Jan 2, 2025. It was an unpleasant experience due to the truck's unsuitable tires. The tires failed to grip the road reasonably well when it snowed such that the vehicle became uncontrollable on many instances, and constituted a hazard to other vehicles on the road and to myself and the passenger in the truck with me. I had to drive very, very slowly for about 30 to 40 km on the snow-covered road which resulted in about 10-12 long line of vehicles behind me until I branched off into a gas station so the vehicles could pass. Indeed, it was God's Divine intervention that saved me from a collision or a rollover into a ditch. At the point of taking over the truck at Oshawa, Ontario, I was concerned about tread depth of the tires; the depth was way different from the good tires on the sample truck showed me when I went in person couple of weeks to my booking location, before my actual day of use of the truck. Another issue is that, there is a button in the truck's dashboard with a sticker that says something like: Press down if towing or when snowing - there is no indicator light to indicate whether the button is ON or OFF. Very confusing. U-Haul needs to be more concerned about the safety of their customers by ensuring their trucks, at all their locations, have excellent tires appropriate for every season. Also, the issue of the confusing button needs to be addressed.
Adebayo AHave a clear indication that nobody is at this site to talk to. I couldn't get a hold of anyone for almost an hour after I was supposed to pick up my truck. Stood around just waiting. Got charged full price, and then I filled the tank back up to where it was given to me, and they're internet program said I didn't fill it up enough so they charged me another 40 dollars on top of it. The truck was basically on empty when I received it. Only 50 miles left in the tank. I filled it back up to 50 miles left and they still charged me extra. Will not be using uhaul again.
