The location and person working there were fine. The overall experience with U-Haul was horrible. Asked to pick up in another town than where I lived, we get there and they tell us we now have to go to another town instead because they don’t have our truck. In total we had to travel almost 2 extra hours to just pick up the truck. Then there was no gas in the truck. When we complained we were basically told they couldn’t help us. I’ll never use U-Haul again. There are other companies.

Drop and go. Nice. Convenient
Lorraine FAbsolutely the worst experience of my life, booked over a month in advance at the Nanaimo location to pick up a 10 foot U-Haul to travel over to the mainland one way. The parksville location as well as the scheduling department changed my booking to a round trip back to parksville. Ash from scheduling is rude and should not be in customer service with her snippy and uneducated way to handle customer service. She didn’t listen and felt she was right while she knew she was in the wrong. I recommend that this person be reprimanded and be stuck on probation until she can learn how to deal with customers. On a positive note, I’d love to give Vivian from U-Haul Safeguard Storage in Nanaimo a 10 star for going out of her way to fix the ongoing issues that almost made me never want to deal with U-Haul ever again. Recommendations to go see her on your next moving needs. Also want to give a shout out to Stephanie Richard the Area Field Area Manager for listening to my story and automatically going to work to help me when I was at my worst and reassured me that she would take care of everything. She was absolutely a delight to deal with and saved me as a customer if I never need moving services in the future.
