When I called this U-Haul location the Manager said I could only rent the truck for a 4 hour period since it was a local move. The confirmation e-mail even reflected a 4 hour limit I told him the U-Haul web site gave a rate of $29.95 & 99 cents per mile so I took that to be a 24 hour period not 4 hours. When I checked in a different manager said the first manager was incorrect I could have the truck for 24 hours.. Since at first thought I only had 4 hors for my move I was unable to get friends help for longer than 4 hours. . When checking in and out the Mgr. had extreme difficulty with the U-Haul web site, stating the system had updated but she was unable to see certain screens. Won't be back to this location.

The paperwork process was far too long, including a lot of errors. I finally had to look at the entry screen myself, correcting mistakes (like my birth year of 2048). The truck was great. Nearly new. However the windshield was really dirty.

It took over a hour and a half for the person to process the rental. She also said that they normally have a rent for the trailer for 2 days. And if you only need it for one day they will adjust the charge. I dropped the trailer off in Prescott az and only used it for 5 hrs and the guy a Prescott said they don't rebate for use of one day.

I had reserved two 26' trucks for February 25. The day before, I received a call saying U-Haul didn't have my trucks. Only one was available, I was offered a 20' truck, but would have to go to two different locations to pick the trucks up. I was given free mileage in case I needed to make a second trip. I wasn't going to have people available for a second trip and I wasn't going to be able to load a truck by myself. I was moving three households into one. The reservation asked for a 7:00 am pick up as my crew was scheduled for that time. After I received a text confirming the trucks, the time had been changed to 8:30 am pick up. I just didn't want to pay 1 1/2 hours for people to just sit around, and since I didn't have 24 hours notice, I couldn't change crew start times. I had to go to two different stores to pick the trucks up. I have used U-Haul for years and NEVER had this problem. I don't know who dropped the ball, but I figure if I make a reservation, and have it confirmed, it is up to your company to make sure the reservation is fulfilled. Getting a call less than 24 hours before my move date and time was unacceptable. It made an already stressful day worse, having to worry about whether or not everything was going to fit. To say I was disappointed with the service I received is an understatement. I had to have a key made as an overzealous packer, packed the truck keys. I was told the insurance I purchased would pay for the making of a key, but instead paid $75.00 for a lock smith and new key. Trying to get a lock smith took nearly an hour and a half as your folks weren't familiar with our area and were trying to send me way out of my way to pick up a key without a vehicle! Jill tried very hard and finally found a locksmith to come to me. No fault of hers, she just wasn't familiar with the area. I was extremely disappointed with the fact I made a reservation and it wasn't honored.
