When I returned the truck the gentlemen in the food mart called U-haul. I told him the mileage and he told me I should go take a picture of the mileage. I went back out to the truck and did that. I went back in and he was still on the phone and asked me to move the truck off to the side, as I just pulled it up to the gas tank. I went and moved the truck. Then still on the phone he said it needed to be closer to the fence. He said if you don’t mind. I said yes I mind, I am 62 and the people I hired to help load and unload it, cancelled the evening before I rented the truck. I had to get another lady in her 60’s to help me. I am disabled and this move was very hard on me. It was painful to keep walking out there. I have never had to move the truck around to specific location on the lot when I have returned a u-haul before. You pull up by the doors and the guy goes out to check the mileage and check to see if it is clean. I did sweep and there were no items left in the truck. Then they move the truck where they want it. I started wondering what was being said on the u-haul side of that phone call when he put the phone on mute before he told me what I needed to do lime mileage photo and moving it. So after doing all that he was just standing there so I told him I was leaving and that I felt I had been doing him job for him. I filled the tank with gas, moved it 2 times and took a picture of the mileage. I showed him the picture by laying my phone on the counter. About 5 min later someone came to the register so I picked up my phone. He said I need to see that picture again. At this point I was annoyed because I had been there for over 20 min. I have never spent more then 5 min to return a truck to u-haul before. I showed him the picture again. Then I said I am leaving and to put the mileage pay back to my card. I got home and checked and nothing shows as a return on my card. Then I notice I was charged $86.23 to uhaul and $31+ change to the food mart. That is $117 + change on my card. The total on my reservation was $102 with truck rental, 55 miles and the $15 insurance fee. So I believe I was charged twice for the insurance. I would like someone to check into that because the truck was $19.95 and $15 for insurance and 55 miles in which I only put 44 miles on it. So there should be $11.11 credited back. The way I do math it should be $less than $90 dollars plus tax. So let’s say the $102 was correct but not $117. So it appears that is $15 over. Then I should get $11.11 back on mileage. So if you could please explain the charges, this it would be much appreciated. Tami Clay.

The person there was very helpful and friendly and helped me a lot since I wanted to change truck sizes. Somehow I thought I was going to a uhaul store where I could also buy some supplies. It was a busy service station where he had to choose who to help. But he was very friendly and helpful.
