Shannon UWhen I picked up the truck it had 3/4 tank of gas. I turned it in with 3/4 tank of gas. I was charged an additional amount for the gas when I turned it in because they would not believe me when I told them the truck had 3/4 tank of gas when I picked it up. Because I did not take a picture of the gas gauge when I picked it up, they refused to credit me for the additional gas charge when I turned it in. I wonder how much extra money U-Haul makes every year with this scam? Overall, not a good experience.
John NI rented a U-Haul truck that had very high mileage and the check engine light was on the entire time. Based on the sound and exhaust smell, it was most likely an exhaust manifold leak. A rental truck should be properly maintained and safe to drive, and this one clearly wasn’t. Very disappointed that this vehicle was put out for customers in this condition.
