The rental was overall a simple uneventful process. Until U-Haul called to confirm the reservation. I reserved the truck over a week before I needed it. Selected the location closest to me in the direction I was heading. The day before I was supposed to pick it up, they called and said no trucks available at the location. I could get one 20 or 30 miles in the other direction. So not only out the time and fuel driving to pick it up, I have to pay for the mileage driving an empty truck up and down the highway.
