After dropping off vehicle the gentleman at the counter asked me whether I would wait for final bill or leave. I wanted to leave and he asked me to take a photograph of the odometer. I took photograph of the odometer and left the premises. Later, when I received the bill I was billed for 50 miles. I did not drive for 50 miles. I drove from the pick-up location to 118-21 Queens Blvd., Forest Hills, NY and then, from this location to 115-01 Atlantic Ave, Richmond Hill. Thereafter, I dropped off the vehicle at the pick up location. the I trusted the gentleman and left after taking the photograph. I checked the photographs and I originally drove for 10 miles and I was billed for 50 miles. Be cautious when someone uses this location. You must get the bill when you drop off the vehicle. Hope this helps future renters.

The truck was filthy upon pickup. Driver side and passenger side had mud on the rugs and the back side. No worries. We moved the furniture from my MIL place to her new house and cleaned the truck to return it. When I looked at my receipt, there’s a $25 fee for “cleaning.” When I called the location, there’s “manager” called my husband and I liars and that the truck was cleaned before pickup. When I further the complaint to U-Haul CS, someone called and again, exhibited the same level of incompetence and unprofessional behavior. This was allegedly the regional manager, telling my husband to “spit it out. What do you have to say.” Barking at him over speaker for everyone around to hear. It’s not about the $25. It’s about decorum and integrity. If they think they can intimidate and demean customers into their erroneous fees, they’ve got the wrong customer. To think who else they have done this to. Sounded like both men needed a lesson in management and perhaps accountability. It sounded like they were doing business in a back alley slum by the manner in which they carried out the phone calls.
