Not clear instructions on where/how to checkout and/or pickup equipment. Had to call and when calling, another business name picks up the line and was a bit confusing. However, person instructed me on checking out via the Uhaul APP and once completed, hooked up and was gone. Returning was the same, all done via the UHaul app on my phone.

Trailer was filthy on the exterior, clean enough interior. I know exterior is not critical. Biggest problem at all locations is that these trailers have no jacks. At 62 with back problems it is difficult and dangerous for me to have to lift the tongue onto or off of my hitch.

DEXTER EOverall, this is a very convenient self-service U-Haul location, and I would recommend it. The only reason I rated lower than excellent is due to how the mobile app check-in works with the GPS location. To fully check in, the app requires you to be physically at the GPS coordinates tied to the marina, but the trucks and equipment are actually parked about 300 yards down the road. This means you have to go to the marina parking lot, then back to the trucks, then back to the marina again to retrieve the keys before you can leave. The same issue happens during drop-off. If possible, it would be much more efficient if the GPS location were recalibrated to the area where the trucks and equipment are parked rather than the marina itself. Also, since this is a self-service location, renters should be prepared to hook up trailers and operate the equipment on their own, which could be challenging if you’re not familiar with it. That said, the convenience of the location is a big plus.
