Clear your lot of snow. Tell the customer ahead of time to be ready and take pictures of the truck before you head over to the office to turn the truck in. This will keep the customer from having to do what I did. I assumed since it was 11:30 am on a weekday, the drop off location would be staffed. I had to trudge through about 50 yards of snow and ice before I realized that I was on my own. I then opened the app and for the first time, I realized I was responsible for taking all the pictures required. Back through the snow and ice. I had to take no less than 8 photos before I was able to finally check out. Also, let the customer know that if they are using the truck in Valparaiso, Indiana and returning to this same location that they will pass about 4 other U-haul locations. I am not sure why U-haul had me return to such a remote location.

when i arrived, the place was closed. i called the number given to me on the reservation and it went to a voice mail that was full. i called uhaul and kept getting cut off. it took an hour when a uhaul representative called me and told me the key was in the back of the truck. Ok, i got the truck but no dolly and no blankets. i then had to wait till they found a location who had the items and drive to the other side of town to get them but they only had the dollys no blankets.
Dana DTERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE experience. I chose this location, because nearly every other u-haul location has also been bad, with one exception, that didn't have the trailer I was needing. I showed up to pick up my reserved trailer, and the place was closed. Hours said 7am-4pm. I was there at 9am. Called the phone numbers on the sign for if no one was there. No answer. Called u-haul for help. Put me on a 40 minute hold. Had to hang up. I was wasting time. The location finally called me, and all the girl kept was was, "we not open. we not renting" What does that even mean? There were U-hauls all over their lot. When I tried to merge her in on a call with U-haul, she hung up on me. I was told that my reservation was guranteed, or I would be paid 50 dollars. So.....where's my 50 dollars?

Lisa BThere was no one available to help with the process. No one on premises. Took several phone calls and almost 2 hours to get through the process. Then the straps on the trailer were useless. I provided pics to the dealer.
