This is not Gary’s problem this is a U-Haul problem !! To U-Haul upper management: I received an email today, June 24, 2025, which said my U-Haul that I picked up in NY Was not returned, so today I went to the people in NC that I returned it to. I have a degree in Auto tech, I talked to the people that I returned the trailer to. They told me that two men came to pick up my U-Haul trailer, and said that there were no brakes working on any of the four wheels. All you need to do at this time is please look at all of the information that you have on file . About my trip from NY to NC, This was my worst experience of my life, I tried to work this break problem out with U-Haul repair man. I had to drive all night because of heavy traffic during the day, it was much safer at night in case I had to stop fast, which I was not able to do. I just thank the good lord that my wife and I made it to our destination safely. This experience cost me $751.00. Action on your part: U-Haul, could save lives, so all equipment should have the brake systems checked thoroughly before the customer takes the U-Haul trailer.

JEAN BExperience was more than satisfactory but there was no cell service at this location so I could not use the app to self-return the trailer. (i dropped off on the w/e when they were closed) It left me feeling uncomfortable that my rental was not closed but I did email the main contact advising them that I did return the trailer. 2 days later I did get an emailed confirmation receipt for my return. I'd have rather used the app to self-return but this location is out of cell service for me.
