The truck was not clean, and the blankets were wet and dirty, the lady who helped me was pleasant but did not offer, any compensation, also I was disappointed that she knew I was moving and did not mention their was no dollie in the truck, she was not trying to give me a discount, or knock down the fee, I spent close to 200.00 for one day use.

I used the online advance reservation and it seemed convenient, HOWEVER, I placed an order for TWO dozen moving blankets. When I arrived, I was told that I had "no order for blankets". The representative "tossed" in 7 blankets at no charge but the gesture was "too little, too late". I requested and we needed at least two dozen blankets to successfully move everything so now we are forced to rent another truck to complete the move. Not a very good experience from that perspective... Otherwise, the people who were helping me through the process were excellent and service oriented. Now you just need to fix the online ordering website...thanks!

The rental location was more than 10 miles from my home, that was not ideal. I was able to negotiate a discount on the mileage charge, but would have preferred a rental closer to my chosen zip code.

The woman who runs the operation, Rosa the Brazilian, is crazy. I was dealing with a domestic abuse situation and she harrassed me even though I paid top dollar for the van and her storage unit. I'll going to warn customers about her on YELP.

Windshield was very dirty. Told gas tank was full when it wasn't. Mileage estimated wrong. But in fairness, the customer service was very good. She tried to be fair. Had great patience and kindness.

The woman who initially helped me was inept and incapable of processing my order when I arrived. She After 30 minutes she phoned another location who processed my order and then faxed it over. A very frustrating experience.

I only needed a 10' truck, but had to take a 14' as this was all that was available at this most convenient spot...yet right next door at 9991 Soquel, there were about 10' trucks. Why couldn't these two 'neighbors' communicate so that I could have the most appropriate truck for my move?

My overall experience with Uhaul was terrible. I will never use your company again. First of all, Uhaul guaranteed my pickup location and truck. Then, the day of my move, Uhaul wasn't able to provide the truck at that location so moved my reservation to a location many miles away. My whole move was to be six miles round trip (my new and old houses are both close to my preferred location), but ended up being over 20 miles because Uhaul changed my pickup and dropoff location. That wouldn't be so bad, but Uhaul actually charged me for the extra mileage that I never would have incurred had they not messed up the reservation in the first place! When we went to pick up the truck, we were told that we could bring it back the next day (we had rented it for 24 hours), but after 6pm because the location was doing a special event. Fine. We took the truck, and when we got it to our place, we noticed that there was a dolly left in it (we hadn't requested a dolly). We did our move, and then went to return the truck at the location (miles away!) after 6pm as requested. We saw a sign at the location that after-hours drop-offs would cost $50. We tried to call, but no one could help us. Finally someone who happened to pass by told us to leave the truck next door. There, we found an official drop box. We triple-checked that we had secured the dolly inside and folded the moving pads and swept the floor. We locked the truck and dropped the contract and keys as requested. Today, when we called to make the final payment, we were informed that the dolly (which we had never requested in the first place!) was missing (even though we locked it in the secure holder inside the locked truck) and that WE would have to pay for it. Not only did we have to pay extra for gas and mileage that we never would have if Uhaul hadn't messed up, but now we're being charged for a piece of equipment we didn't want and made sure to return in its proper place! My friends have had similar (and MUCH worse!) experiences with your company, and I should have listened to them when they said not to use you. I will NEVER use Uhaul again. I hope this review helps to keep other clients away from your services.
