Have always had a great experience with this U-Haul location when dealing with Tom. The young man that was working there was not so friendly/neighborly and came across as annoyed, put off, and inconvenienced by a simple rental that was completed without complaint or issue. If he had been my son, I'd have been ashamed.

I had signed up with a dealer 8 miles from Edinboro University. I had to drive 42 miles and into Ohio to get my rental truck. I really don't think I should be charged for the extra miles I had to drive to pick up the truck. They did not have it ready so that took an hour. The place was a service station so all the pads smelled like oil some had an oil film on them. I would not use some of them on our furniture.

When a truck breaks down on a customer, that customer should not be responsible for paying the full rental fee and mileage. If i would not have called and filed a complaint I would have been charged the full amount, as if my rental had gone off without a hitch. In reality, when someone, like me, rents a truck, from a company as well known as U HAUL, they expect the highest of quality in the vehicle and the provided service. But that is not what I experienced. I rented a truck with the complete understanding that I would have to pay for it, which I had no problem doing. But in doing so I expected that if something happened to the vehicle that was beyond my control, which it did, that the company would not only replace my truck, at no charge, but also apologize for the major inconvenience that it caused me while I was trying to move my household items from point A to point B. I found that neither of those things happened. After my truck broke down i dialed the 800 number for roadside service and A+ Towing responded to my location very quickly and the operator was nice enough to tow us to our destination and offer us a replacement truck that he had at his lot. So we dropped our truck off, unloaded it and left it in the secure storage facility that we had rented a unit at. We then had to drive 10 miles out of our way to get the new truck (the staff at A+ towing is excellent, super nice and very helpful, I couldn't be happier with the service that they provided). Then after taking the truck to finish our moving job, we had to drive 10 miles out of our way again, back to the storage lot, to let the other tow company, West County Towing, into the lot to get the broken down truck. All of this extra driving, in our personal vehicles, added more inconvenience and ended up making out 6 hour job turn into a 12 hour, full day, moving escapade. As things had not been bad enough, the next day I received a call from the rental location saying that I had never returned the truck. I then called the gentleman back and explained that the truck I had rented had broken down and was towed away. He said he was going to contact the company and see what was going on. He never called me back. Instead, i was charged late fees as if i had never returned the truck at all. That's when i called and filed a complaint, and received only 50% of my rental cost back. Thinking this was all over with, another day passes and I see, again, I have been charged more late fees. So I called back to customer service. They had a representative return my call, she stated that I had not returned the replacement truck that I had gotten from A+ towing. I corrected her and explained that I had returned the truck that night at 10:30 pm and spoke with the nice lady at the towing yard who asked me how my move went and told me to just leave the keys in the drop box near her office. The representative then stated that she would have to confirm that with A+. I then asked the representa

returned truck was made to sweep out the truck ,all i had in it was harley davidson that was going for inspections . was told i will be charged $25.00 if i didn"t , this is wrong!!! and was not allowed to pull a trailer with my ford explorer, thats why the rental of the truck. i dont think i will rent again!!!

When a brake issue was pointed out to location person that there is a problem the person had no concerns about it at all they said it was uhauls problem not theirs.why were we charged $71.32, for a $29.99 15 footer, we did get dolly $10 and only had 10.8 miles used, plus tax, We filled the gas back. In my figures that does not add up to what we were charged. The owner had a bad attitude! The employees did as well.

Tom was great! But the way U-Haul reserved trucks is wrong. Online I can reserve anything when in reality it's not at the location. The U-Haul rep on the phone helped fix the problem, but what a hassle! Tom was very helpful too!!
