Would rather have uhaul delivered to Stratford instead of having to drive farther to pick up.

Booked larger trailer at different location. Was called two days before to say that trailer was not available. Had to book smaller trailer, and make detour to pick up and drop off trailer. Promised a credit ... waiting to see if it happens.

The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful as I was not experienced with using the auto transport. It reduced my anxiety knowing my car was properly tied down and secured.

I didn't like the fact that when I first called to reserve the truck that I was told that I might have to pick it up at another location. My reason for calling that location was they were close to the house being moved from. When you are charging me by the mile (km), don't think I'm going to be happy if I have to drive from a location that's farther away. Other than that, the location was clean and the person helped us get on the way quickly.

The website was beyond useless. I would pick my truck/times/locations, etc., then move on to the next page. Some if not all of the info I put in would be changed. This happened several times. Finally, I thought I got everything the way I wanted. When I got my confirmation email and text... they were wrong... so I just called the store and had them make the adjustment. I should have just booked through the store.

The fuel quantity recorded prior to me renting the truck, was 1/4 full. When I took the paperwork and keys out of the building to start the truck, the tank was actually 1/8 full. It never took long before the 'low fuel' light came on, which also meant that the nearest gas station was beyond the range of the fuel remaining in the tank! This then required that I make an unexpected trip to my home location 10 miles away, where I had 3 gallons of fresh fuel remaining in a gas container for my lawnmower and snow blower. I dumped the gas into the truck fuel tank, which now meant that I never had any fuel for my snow blower despite the early-season snow storm that was quickly approaching our area. As well, I had to pay 69 cents per mile to drive the truck back to my home location to put fuel in the damn thing, then pay 69 cents per mile to drive back to the exact same location where I had picked up the truck, to THEN begin my U-Haul moving experience. This also meant that I would have to take my fuel container to the nearest gas station when my move was complete, to re-fill my gas can for my snow blower. So far, I am down $13.80 in unnecessary mileage charges, just to put enough fuel in the tank to make it to the nearest gas station to put enough fuel in the tank to even start my own move. I find it extremely odd that the exact amount of fuel was not recorded from the previous renter of that truck, which meant that the truck was either used 'privately' since the truck had been previously returned with no record kept of subsequent unauthorized usage, or the fuel remaining in the tank was 'assumed' to be 1/4 full when the truck had been returned and subsequently not actually verified by the U-Haul dealership. In any event, this cost me an additional $10 in fuel that I DID NOT use, to merely bring the fuel gauge up to at least the 1/4 mark, before I even started my own move, not to mention the $13.80 in additional unnecessary mileage charges I self-incurred in returning home for my snowblower gas. That's a $23.80 charge on my back that had nothing to do with my own move. I think the U-Haul policy of returning the truck with the same amount of fuel it was first rented out with, is absolute bullshit. The tank needs to be FULL when it is rented out and the tank needs to be FULL when it is returned to the U-Haul dealership. The fraud has to stop and the fuel policy stupidity has to stop from U-Haul Corporate headquarters. U-Haul trucks are often found stranded on major highways because of mechanical issues and I dare say, one of those mechanical problems is condensation accumulated in the fuel system because the tank is NEVER filled by anyone during a rental. Eventually, enough condensation develops in the tank over the course of a season to cause the engine to quit on the highway, which can easily be resolved with gas line anti-freeze additive, even in summer. But who carries a bottle of gas line anti-freeze with them when they
