Store opened ober 20 mins late. Was asked to go put 3 dollars more gas when it was a hair too shy or eould be charged 15.00. Never given or emailed a recept. Ordered blankets and said they had none.

Hard to understand the people working there. When I told them the truck was dirty, they told me not to worry and take it anyways. This location is at a gas station. When I returned the truck the gas pumps were out of order so i was unable to fill the truck up and was charged an escalated gas price. I ordered a 26’ truck. When I arrived all they had was a 20’ truck. Which meant I had to make an extra trip, costing me more in gas and kms. Very disappointed in the pick up location and the overall experience. If i wanted a 20’ truck, that’s what I would have ordered. I even called uhaul on Thursday to confirm the pick up location and truck size. They advised there would be a 26’ truck there for me. I will try a different truck rental company for my upcoming moving needs. Hopefully they will be able to keep their word.

Very unorganized,told me my truck was booked for the next day when in fact it was booked for the day I needed....problem wasn't rectified until the boss showed up.End result was a large delay in our move when everything was time sensitive.

Gas level was wrong, mileage was out by 40 miles. However. The two staff members the I met were both very helpful to correct the errors. My question is why were the errors there in the first place. While I was returning my truck the next customer was telling me she had the same kind of errors on her rental. Incompetence, stupidity, or fraud you deside. I will not use this location again.

The trailer was partially full of debris like wood chips and leaves at the front of the trailer... I waited for 1hr and 45min and possibly longer (as I didn’t start watching my time until I was there for a bit) the agent didn’t not know how to use the rental software... I ended up booking it online to assist him... that did not help... so I had to cancel the online reservation in hopes he could figure it out.. I actually left and went to another U-Haul location to rent elsewhere but it was closed and no hours of operation posted. So I ended going back to this location in hopes to get this trailer rental.... the owner then showed up after numerous calls were made by his agent... once he arrived it was completed within minutes... once I tried to use the trailer it was realized that our ball hitch was too big not a 2”. I had to rent that after this ordeal for $20 plus tax which was almost the equivalent cost of the trailer rental... In my opinion with all the undue hassle this should have been offered for the major inconvenience of time and frustration I had endured. The owner did apologize a few times, however would that satisfy you if you desperately needed to rent something and had to endure this period of time and have it compounded with an exuberant cost for a trailer hitch. I’m still extremely angry and disappointed by this experience and will be reluctant to use U-Haul based on it, especially if it’s something I need to count on to have done in a timely manner.

Unfortunately, I waited half an hour past my scheduled pick up time for the location to open, despite the website showing me an early open time. I did not have all the equipment that I booked when I left the premises, and had to return for the utility dolly. Lastly, the truck cab/drivers area was very dirty and still had garbage in the cup holder. Overall, a below average experience. Especially since I had booked well in advance and even completed express check-in for expedience.

service was great, there was a glitch with the system, I spent the time by phone giving all my credit information, when in store to pick up truck had to give all my information again which took time. No direction given with the truck but easy enough to figure out and overall good experience!

AFM should be checking units better, coupler handle was bent and distorted, right hand tire worn and cracked between tire treads, advised renting dealer, he advised me that the AFM nite her returns calls or texts as to the condition , dealer himself was polite and did a good job

I booked this trailer 2 weeks in advance of my moving date and two days before i received a call telling me they could not find one and that ....the only commitment was they would try to find one and advise me.....What am i supposed too do after all the moving arrangements are made....plus snooty attitude and no concern with my situation... Thank god i was able, to find one in BARRIE since i was traveling down from SUDBURY to move my daughter in TORONTO when they checked and told me their was none...i searched myself and contacted Gary at ESSA variety Mart....SUPER SERVICE.... YOU need to improve the search system on availability....and let customers know where they can pick up the unit as close to their destination as possible ....Poor service at this level and no concern for the customer....to bad we don't have one was their attitude....NOT HAPPY....AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOUR SERVICES.....BUT GARY WAS TERRIFIC... Extremely poor, attendant hooked up the trailer to our vehicle. When we arrived in Montreal (500 km later) and drove the vehicle onto the trailer the trailer completely lifted off the hitch and into my pick up truck. The attendant never safely secured the trailer onto the hitch. We’ve used U-Haul numerous times in the past, tried this location as it was closest to home and received the absolute worse service possible. Not only was the trailer in poor condition, the lack of experience by the attendant not only put our lives at risk but those around us as well.

The only issue we had is that we had asked for a specific location to drop the truck off. When we got there, it was not an U-Haul location. Since it was a Sunday, we had to look for another U-Haul location and it was 45 minutes out of our way. However, the U-Haul web-site did say there was a location in Picton.

I was charged $250 for a half day round trip from Barrie to Toronto. This pricing is ridiculous. Also, I was forced into an unreasonably early return time and subsequently, when late, was charged for an additional day's rent and insurance! Finally to top it all off, the phone number for this location on my receipt connects to some unfortunate lady who has nothing to do with u-Haul!!!

I booked trailer rental online, I did the advance check in, it was ready and waiting for me. I returned it to same location, great service, they loaned me a couple of moving blankets no charge. Great experience, great price.

Reservation was not set up for confirmed pick up. Alternate solution was a 30 min delay. Team not informed on changes to account charges and customer service resolution could not solve in the moment. Protocol is for manager escalation call back in 3 days that resulted in an email vs. a call considering the matter resolved and closed. Terrible all around and I expect a follow up call to resolve. 647-338-0589
