Nicholas met me as I pulled in, directed me where to park the equipment and unhooked the trailer from my truck. Fast and convenient. I probably wasn't at the location more than 10 minutes total. Great customer service. Nicholas was friendly and pleasant to work with.

Really need to allocate staff better. Two people there with Manager in AM with no customers,yet only one working afternoon with 2-3 waiting for long periods. Should be 2 during busy times.

Very dissatisfied with the way I got my truck. It had a little over a quarter tank of gas. I had to gas up immediately then try to manage exactly how much gas was in the tank when I returned it. Of course there was more than a quarter tank and no cr sit or refund from you! This is not the way to provide fast friendly customer service. Your policy is unfair to your customers.

The gentleman running the return/retail portion of the location was extremely helpful, friendly, and efficient. I had to wait because there were other individuals picking up trucks or returning. However, he finished these tasks quickly and apologized for the wait. Outstanding customer service.

The front door was locked when I arrived at 7 AM with no one in site. The GM said it was stuck (after I had to call customer service to get him out of the back of the store), but I don't believe him. I tried to open the door at least 3 separate times and I could tell it was locked. Using the door later in the day it opened fine (when it was unlocked. I am not a dainty individual. Returning the truck later in the day I had to wait 20 minutes before someone could help me. The only person in the shop was busy counting the money in the register drawers instead of helping a customer. The pack of "6" furniture pads only contained 5.

I reserved 4 vans on the phone at the Kalamazoo location. Then was informed 2 days before that you had overbooked and that I was getting box trucks. When I called I specified vans as I work for the U.S Postal Service and we were using them for delivery. Not great service to overbook and then I have to drive an extra 40 miles to get what was originally promised to us. These were 30 day over $1000.00 rentals next year if we do this again there needs to be an assurance of availability before We rent from you again.

When I picked up the truck, the fuel level indicated full, but when I filled it it took 7.5 gallons of gas after driving it 21 miles. The attendant want willing to do anything to comp me.

I had the unfortunate experience of using this facility to store my daughters belongings temporarily since she was in the process of relocating back home. My husband rented a truck move entire apartment. The mgr informed my husband that he had storage units available so my husband rented one. He loaded everything into the unit on December 21 and on 12/31 we went out to retrieve some things and it was completely empty. My husband went up front to inform them thinking that may we had the wrong unit. The mgr came out to have a look and saw that it was empty and he started opening other units in the row. He could not offer any logical explanation of my missing items. We went inside and he was quite rude about the whole thing. I went to get a police officer to go back with my husband and I to file a report. He more or less insinuated that since my husband and i only had keys not even them.That can't be true because he opened other units while we were there. We and the police saw that there was no visible signs of forced entry. Someone had to enter the unit and it certainly wasn't my husband or I. I later went home and called the headquarters who filed a claim and said and insurance adjuster would be calling me. I was contacted by the insurance company to tell me that there is nothing they can do about this and she was not the nicest person either. I have contacted the headquarters and am waiting for a call from the general mgr. This has been one of the worse experiences I have had with a business in my life. After telling other people of my experience they were not surprised. I was informed by them that people always have thing come up missing in this facility this is why they go to a different facility in a nearby town. We shouldn't have to do that. I felt that U-Haul was a reputable company that hired ethical employees. I can't say what happened but something is terribly wrong with this whole situation...I just want some answers. If some unethical business is going on out there I think everyone in the community should know about it to protect themselves. I have been a law abiding citizen in this community all my life and served on several local boards...I am not a thief and a liar. Someone should really look into what is happening at this facility.

Should be able to get to storage unit when needed not just certain hours. Is that not why you give people code cards for.
