This location is too far from where the truck was needed. Did not have furniture pads that we reserved. Truck was new which was a surprise.

The customer service provided via phone by the company is appalling. When I called one number, I was told to hang up and call another (there was no offer for transferring the call). When I got the next person, I received little to no help. The directions I was given were of little use and the phone number I was given for the location was completely disconnected, despite the operator insisting that the number worked. Three people tried it on two unrelated phones, and we all got the same message, "this number has been disconnected." However, once I got to the location, the clerk was very kind and prompt in his service. The truck was clean and ready for us as we needed it. When we went to return it, even though the store was closing, the clerk was kind enough to to help us out anyway.
The exterior was not clean. No one answered the phone most of the time. No voice mail.The truck sounded like it needed some serious maintenance. The gas was not full even though the he owned a gas station.
I had a bad experience. I reserved the truck for Saturday pick up. I was given a location about 5 miles from my house. That was fine, but when I drove to thenlocation to pick up, no one was there. I tried to call the phone # at the location, it was forwarded to a cell phone that no one picked up. I called Uhaul to inquire about my reservation, they tried to contact the agent, but they had the same luck as myself. The lady at Uhaul, located available truck that is 70-80 miles each way away from where I am, and arranged for Sunday pick up. to make it up for the inconvenience, she reduced the rate to $19.99 a day, and reduced the milage to $0.49/ mile. In addition to that she promissed to refund the sum of $50.00 to my credit card after the transaction was completed. As of today I didn't see the $50.00 refunded, and I believe that I should be getting more than just $50.00 because the extra miles that I had to drive to pick up the truck, in addition to the gas I have to use to drive those 140-160 miles. Which made me pay at leasr an extra $70.00- $80.00 in milage alone, Plus the gas to drive those miles.
The lights on the trailer went out on our way home in the pouring down rain making this a horrible and very dangerous experience. The customer service guy we called @ that 800 number for Uhaul was not concerned
The service can be improved by being prepared with offices essentials such as printer paper and extra assistance when expecting Uhaul customer. I was pleased with the service effort provided to supply me with electronic receipt confirmations and multi-task between customers.
Let the customer know more than (2) minutes in advance that the original pick-up location is closed so the customer wouldnt have to drive 40 minutes out of the way to pick-up/drop off equipment.
Very slow!!!!..Took about 30 minutes to rent equiptment...constantly stopping and starting to wait on other customers and arguing with his spouse...hollaring out, asking for my information with customers in his store...doesn't even have a designated area to handle these procedures!!
the service was excellent. the charges were a little higher then we expected. the person we dealt with was courteous, helpful, and polite. i would recommend him again.
The location at Aycock's was friendly, especially after dealing with the issues we had that morning with our reserved location not having the vehicle we requested.
We were very disappointed in the online reservation system. The confirmation came around 8:00pm and we we tried calling after 6:00pm the line was busy. The confirmation had us traveling 50 miles from Raleigh to Lucama, NC to pick up a truck that would not be available til 1:00pm. After finding out this information we attempted to call many U Haul numbers, we were met with busy signals or cut off in the process of connecting with the correct department. When we finally did reach a person she implied that it was our fault and we should have made arrangements another way. Thanks to the willingness of Richard Nettey at Aycocks Gas & Grocery to help us we were able to pick the truck up Thursday night. Still 50+miles out of the way from Raleigh where we made our reservation for. This involved him staying after hours and making phone calls. If this is the way all online reservations are handled then your system is flawed and needs to be re-examined. Moving is an emotional experience and we put faith in the U Haul system and even though it worked out in the end thanks to Richard Netty. The hours of uncertainty were not what any customer should endure. I would also like to report that Byran Hearst and Dale Tallent at the KHM Mart were wonderful. You third question is would you recommend this location to a friend, and our answer is yes for this location due to the helpfulness of the U Haul representative. If the question was... Would you recommend U Haul to a friend? After our experience on Thursday the answer today would be No!
