The pick location was more than 2 hours away (160km) from our town of Sault Ste Marie where we originally made the reservation, so 4 hours plus all that gas there and back to even pickup the truck, this was never disclosed that the pick up would not be in Sault Ste Marie so this was unexpected and started our interaction as awful and cumbersome. The back of the truck was full of moving materials like foam, the front end of the truck was in awful condition as it pulled to the right the whole driving time which was 8 hours to our new town. The drop off was supose to be Cobourg and then on drop off day they said it should be Colborne which is 1 hour away and we were no longer willing to drive the unsafe vehicle so they accepted it here. Our experience to rent furniture blankets and a dolley were horrible, they couldn't figure out how to add blankets as they had the dolley as in town and furniture blankets as end drop off. We will never recomend Uhaul to anyone if they are looking to use your services, do better! We were disapointed and we truly did not expect the move to go that way with using Uhaul. Just a disrepect for us as customers right from the first conversation. please review your locations and how you treat customers, 2 hour drive to do a pick up when the truck was booked 3 weeks before the move date just seemed insane!!! And in the local Sault Ste Marie yard we were dealing with, they had a 26 ft truck and told us that was brought there for someone else, what were we? not the right people?? No respect!!! we had to pay for gas for the Uhaul and our vehicle for that pick up, so 160 km for the Uhaul and 320km for our vehicle the day before our move. No monetary compensation offered, i could not beleive that. Not a great start. I would encourage your company to take a hard look at this review!!!
