Windshield washer was completely out so I drove without it from Bozeman MT to Meridian ID - I was able to clean the windows at gas stations but it would have been nice to have the washer a couple of times.

This location was supposed to be open at 10am for rentals. By 10:15 there were several people waiting outside the locked door. The person in charge of the shop didn't arrive until nearly 10:30. By the time we got through the people in front of me, I didn't have my truck until after 11. There was no apology for the tardiness and no help with the lost time. The truck had broken tie-down boards in the back, so it was difficult to fasten anything to the walls. Because I lost so much time on Saturday I had to rent another truck on Sunday. That experience at a different location went much more smoothly.

This location had an opening time of 10:00 AM; however the employee didn’t show up until 10:15 AM. There were 7 people waiting outside for the business to open. She showed up with her kid, dogs, and Starbucks in hand. She didn’t apologize for being late. She was rude and indifferent. I will NEVER shop at this location again and I will tell everyone about my poor experience.

The owner said and marked in the paperwork that the truck tank was topped off and the tank was full. Only after I left the location I saw that it was actually 3/4 full. I even took a picture of what it looked like. I had to return the truck with a full tank because that's how it was marked off in the paperwork ($25 for extra quarter tank) I hate dishonest businesses!

I reserved a truck for the weekend. The lady behind the counter asked if I could get all I needed done in one hour. I had to drive 30 min load a truck driver 15 min to my house unload and get back to the facility 30 min drive. She was upset that I did all that in 1.5 hours. She had someone set up to take the truck at one. I got the truck at noon. I also reserved the truck for two days.

Montana well and shop could correct their phone numbers online and make sure their voicemail/answering machine says “Montana Woolen Shop”. For the moment it’s one of those automatic voices the doesn’t let you know who you’ve contacted, So I was unsure whether my voicemail letting them know that we had returned the truck a day early had gone to the right place. Thanks for correcting our billing!

I reserved a 26 foot U-Haul through U-Haul I ended up with a 20 foot so I didn’t have enough room now I will have to rent a trailer to take the last of our stuff that didn’t feet, need to work with your scheduling department

The only negative in my experience with this rental (which was my *only* experience with U-Haul at all) is that when I showed up at the site after having driven more than 2 hours to get there, they didn't have the truck I had reserved online AND had already paid for. Apparently, U-Haul had tried calling me at 6 am and left me a message saying generically, "please call us regarding your options," but I didn't get the message until several hours after they tried calling me (probably the fault of my cell provider; that sometimes happens). U-Haul did NOT try calling the second number I listed, which would have been answered. I ended up not being able to rent a truck from U-Haul without backtracking an hour to Big Timber, thus putting me behind by TWO hours, a delay that I couldn't afford -- and also, I would have been charged about $50 extra in gas because U-Haul refused to waive the extra mileage for having to drive to Big Timber to get a truck that had been the online system had guaranteed me to be in Bozeman! I was extemely unhappy with U-Haul for that experience. My husband noticed that the Bozeman location seemed to have trailers, to we ended up renting a trailer instead, but it cost of $30 MORE than the truck would have cost, and again, U-Haul would not match the price of the truck that we had been guaranteed AND had already paid for! I would think that a truck would be MORE expensive to rent! But regardless, I was extremely disappointed in U-Haul's absolute lack of any consideration for their customer's inconvenience. Obviously, you don't care if I am ever a customer again, so I won't be! This is NOT a reflection AT ALL on the very nice woman who helped us in Bozeman; it is rather a reflection on U-Haul as a company. The woman in Bozeman offered to throw in some freebies, but she had no control over the prices charged by U-Haul or the fact that the online system guaranteed me a truck that wasn't there.
