Not truly the fault of the Wildcat Lake team. Blame should be placed on the logistics/dispatch team. The Wildcat Lake guys were nice, but they're barely trained. They're just the convenience store clerks, not UHaul employees. I had to do all the check in on the app. They just gave me the keys. The truck was not clean at all. Blankets were strewn in the back and not the amount I ordered. There was no utility dolly, which I had ordered, and Wildcat Lake did not have any supplies. Most importantly, I later found out that both front tires on a 26' truck were dangerously worn. They were showing steel. With the truck fully loaded and towing a vehicle, the right front tire blew out in South Dakota going downhill at highway speeds. This could have caused a fatal accident. The roadside repair team was good and communicative. The repair contractor was excellent. He noted the egregious wear on the other tire and told me to drive <50 MPH to their shop to have it replaced. The truck had been shuddering massively to this point. It improved with new tires, but that truck needed front end service before it was rented to me, especially for a full cross country trip. The Washington logistics team was terrible. I specifically requested pickup of the truck and trailer from a large, full UHaul facility in Bremerton. However, UHaul reps always play the "we can't guarantee the pickup location" game. There was no communication from them about their supply issues. I had to call them to get clarity, which is hugely unprofessional on UHaul's part. They just dropped the auto transport off the reservation with no warning. That equipment was fully necessary for my cross country move. I had to pickup the truck out in the sticks from an underqualified team. Then I had to drive the subpar truck 43 miles one way to a UHaul facility in Port Townsend to pick up the auto transport, which ended up having faulty tail lights, so another dangerous issue. My overall experience was frustrating at best and terrifying and dangerous at worst. I will look forward to speaking with a regional manager after he or she has reviewed the full file.

They didn’t seem to understand how anything worked as far as checking out vehicles. The 26 foot truck was actually the only piece of U-Haul equipment that they had. When I returned the truck at night, there was no dropbox for the key.
JESSIE VThe clerk was not trained an the workers were unfamiliar with the mobile U-Haul checkout through the app. Overall it was a nightmare. The location is really convenient for me though so i will probably use them again.
