The people at the location were nice. The truck however was smelly. Like the previous customer took farm animals in it. The dolly I requested wasn't in the van. Asked for it and got it though. My biggest complaint is the unexpected charges. Rediculous. The final price changed twice from when I booked it. That's fraudulent. Makes me lost trust in uhaul.

When I picked up the van it was 3/8 full. Refilling it prior to return I mistakenly overfilled it to 1/2. While this was my error if the van had been full to start I could not make the mistake. The location was unwilling to credit my bill to some degree to compensate or some sort of store credit. I will use uhaul again; I will not use this location.

I have used Uhaul over the years and have always found clean vehicles and attentive crews especially the North Vancouver location. This particular location Deerlake Market is a sub agency that does not deserve to have the Uhaul franchise. The vehicle was handed over to me late, mostly because no paperwork was prepared. Then on inspection the van was filthy inside and out, could not see out of the windshield and there was zero washer fluid ... the store did not even have any! Then the agent found an old curtain wet the one end and proceeded to wash just enough of the windshield on each side so that I could see! If I was not pressed for time and after a $15 cab ride to pick up the van, I would have cancelled. On returning the vehicle I had to wait while the clerk finished eating before he could check me out! Not a word in this report is exaggerated and I think Uhaul should issue a full credit plus the $20 of gas that I put in the van leaving it with a quarter more gas than when I found it! Thank you. I would appreciate an acknowledgement and response to my email.

The cargo van we rented had a significant oil leak. We noticed this particularly when we parked the van in our garage to load it , there was a large spot of oil on the garage floor. When we checked out the road where the van had parked overnight there was also an oil spill that had made a trail down the road, it would have been at the top of an incline. As we drove we also noticed that the signal light for a right turn made unusual quick clicking noise and when we checked the outside lights we found the right signal light was not working.

One would think to pick any rental vehicles from a uhaul parking lot and not from not from a corner store Especially when the store was closed and customer had to wait for 18 minutes Not appreciated at all from the service

I ordered blankets and a trolley online, the location did not carry those items. U-haul either needs to do a better job of standardizing the accessories available at each location, or they should communicate better with each location and only offer the accessories that are available at the location. I effectively gave money to U-haul for nothing because I did not get all my rental items. I would be very hesitant to use U-haul again as this greatly inconvenienced my move. I was planning on having trolley to help transport items and blankets to prevent damage. I believe this to be U-hauls fault and it’s too bad because it reflects poorly on the location even though this is out of their hands if U-hail does not adequately coordinate with them.

This is a very mom and pop shop operation. There's only one person there who can process U-Haul and he's not always there. The plus side is that the van is very well maintained and is not covered in U-Haul decals.

I had asked for a Dolly in my reservation online but when I picked up the car at the place they did not have any dolly available and did not offer me any solution or compensation. Besides that, I spent around 25 minutes to pick up the car, too much time.

Service your vehicles before sending them out . This truck had the exhaust pipe bent way up and was restricted . Which rezolted in lack of power and extremely poor gas mileage .and was a fire hazard as it melted a big hole in the side of the truck... I’m not impressed !!!
