Apparently location is closed and I received a phone call from a man in Lacoste Texas saying it was supposed to be at his location. He is the one that informed be The Castroville location was closing. That’s where we were told to go. We returned it wary on Saturday and then I receive an email saying U-Haul was charging me for it being late and not putting 1/2 tank of gas. This was not true. We returned it early and with 1/2 tank. I really need to talk with someone about a refund ASAP.

I was scheduled to pick up my U-Haul at 3:00 and he was not there. When I called him he proceeded to tell me that Uhaul is not his main job and he’ll get there when he can. However he did call me when he was headed to the shop so that I could go back to that location and pick up my U-Haul.

Have the trailer where I reserved it from at that location. I found 24 hrs before pickup that I had to go to another location.

There were no UHaul personnel at the location when the trailer was dropped off. It was dropped around 3 PM on Friday May 31. I feel like there should be somebody to accept returned equipment and time stamp the contract.

The location was closed when I arrived at the scheduled pick up time and I had to wait well over an hour for the owner to arrive. He said he would be on site on my scheduled drop off time, he was again closed. I left the trailer at the same location I picked it up from. On Wednesday I received a text from U-Haul stating I had not returned the trailer. I tried calling the dealer, it took two days before I could get through. He explained he was too busy to report i had returned the equipment. He assured me it was reported as turned in on time. That apparently was not true, as I received a receipt today charging me for three additional days. If this is not corrected, I will never use U-Haul again, I will report this to the BBB and will tell everyone I know how U-Haul over charged me and the difficulty I have had resolving this issue.

I requested a newer truck since I'm elderly. The truck was a bit older and had no cruise control so I had to keep my right foot on the gas peddle for 1800 miles. Other than that everything went well. My thanks to the staff of Thomas Rodriguez at U-Haul Castroville, TX who were very helpful.
