I booked location as it was meant to be in person pick up and drop off . It’s not and was emailed the day of pick up about this. No instructions on how to get keys or what to look for. Also no keys for my vehicle in lock box , wasted 1/2 hour trying ito organize this

I have had trouble with online pickup before with UHaul. This location was easy and a representative from the local store texted me for a more personal touch. It was so easy and I would use this location again.
MELISSA WI am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the customer service experienced during my recent rental process. The initial agent I interacted with appeared to lack pertinent information and mismanaged the situation, often responding with an unprofessional attitude. After being disconnected from the call, I found that the agent was not aligned with the specifics of my situation. On the first day of this rental experience, I arrived at the location to pick up the van, only to discover that no vehicle was available. Furthermore, I was informed that my reservation had been canceled due to our delayed arrival. My partner and I had utilized scooters to reach the site, necessitating an Uber ride back, which incurred additional costs. The following day, I returned to retrieve the van and endured a wait of over thirty minutes for the representative to arrive. As a result of this delay, I received a notification indicating that I was late, leading to yet another cancellation of my reservation. Following this, I spoke with a customer service agent who instructed me to enter a specific code into a lockbox, enabling me to retrieve the keys and access the van. Regrettably, I was later informed that the van had been reported stolen. I find it unacceptable that I was permitted to drive away with the vehicle using keys provided after entering the given lockbox code, only for it to be reported as stolen. I request that this situation be addressed promptly and appropriately. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
