First of all, I had to drive an additional 20 miles to get a 20’ U-Haul. I only wanted a 15’ and there was not one available even though I reserved one. Then the photos would not upload for the pick up after hours. I called customer support and was on hold 15 minute. I hung up and just left with the truck. When I got home I called again and was on hold again for a long time. By this time, it was pitch black outside. The lady gave me a link but when I took pictures in the morning, the link was expired. When I turned in the truck, I was charged for the additional 20 miles to go get the truck. I did refute the additional charges. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with you.
Jonathan HI would like to state that this rating does not pertain to your Elkader location. My original location was Prairie du Chien, WI. After making an advanced booking days before pickup I arrived to no available vehicle and had to be re-routed out of my way to Elkader, IA to rent a smaller truck. This whole experience delayed and derailed my plans for the day. $50 isn’t enough compensation for mismanaging inventory, costing time, and costing gas money. I will not be using Uhaul for any further rentals.
