We received an email the day before pickup saying that we would be receiving a different truck size than we requested due to U-Haul not having appropriate availability. There was no truck of the correct size within 45 minutes. We were asked to drive to pick one up, about 45 minutes. Somehow a truck was moved to a closer location, so we drove about 30 minutes each way and it was the day before our scheduled pick up. The only compensation U-Haul offered for this was giving us the miles for that day free: meaning the drive out of our way was not counted against the move. We were very frustrated with this situation as we reserved the truck weeks in advance. If we had not been able to pick up the truck the day before then our move would’ve been significantly impacted.

We were charged $15 for some insurance that we declined and was told I had to pay for it anyways. I'm sorry but to me that is stealing from the customer.

Mark RThe truck have the engine light on had a emergency in Peoria dropped off at closest U-Haul in Peoria they sent me a bill for 194.00 never thought that I could drop it off to a location where U-Haul service U-Hauls make it make sense. If I move to another state with I have to bring it back to Peoria they are full of crap charge you out rages prices when you return the U-Haul they are highway robbery then said I owe them gas how when I filled it up the man was rude to me when I called never again.
VALARIE MThey were using a tablet to rent took too long to get it picked up then found out the tail light was out when we got ready to leave so had to wait til it was fixed so it took extra time to get back , plus it was more money than the one we rented to go north the first of July by about $50 same thing more money will not use uhaul again probably
