When I called in to reserve the truck I asked on 2 different occasions how the gas in the truck would be handled. I was told that it wasn't a concern. When I picked up the truck they told me I had to return it with the same amount of gas in it. That is not what I was told. If I would have had more time I might have gone to a competitor just because of how this was explained. Aside from this issue, the experience was OK.

There was a combination of issues. 1st the on line reservation was incorrect, 2nd when I did go on line and did an early check in the system had the reservation messed up so we had to redo the reservation at the desk, 3rd the person working the desk at this location was training and not much help given the other problems.

The customer service was lacking. The employee who went through my order with me was unable to provide responses to most of my questions about the rental. The whole pick up process was more difficult than it should have been. I first had to tell the employee that I had already prepaid when he asked for my credit card. I then had to sort through my order, which did not match up with what I placed online. I was told I would receive a refund of a certain amount, with no explanation from the employees as to why that would be. I then found out that it was likely because all of the extra materials I ordered online were removed from my order for no apparent reason. I then had to purchase them separately, which defeats the purpose of ordering online in the first place. This also means that I have to wait to be refunded the money to my credit card that I immediately spent in the store. When I went out to the vehicle, I had to double check that the parts of my order that were alleged to still be included in the receipt were actually in there. I asked if the dolly which was on the receipt was in the back, and it wasn't. Finally, the vehicle had 1/4 tank of gas at pickup. I'm not sure what company policy is on gas levels, but it was irritating to have to immediately fill the truck with gas when there's already so much going on with moving.

Horrible customer service from the assistant manager, called in to find out why there is a pending amount on my debit card and I get hung up on. Called corrprate offices to find out it was just a deposit amount being held for 3-5 business days, not understanding what was so hard about telling me that instead of hanging up on me. I wasn't even rude but should've been they way he talked to me. Will tell everyone I know to NEVER USE UHAUL EVER!!! Especially when a manager is that rude over nothing! Piss poor customer service!

I will never ever again use uhaul after we paid cash for the overage charges and yet they still charged my debit card and for a different amount then what we paid cash. I will not let anyone I know ever rent from them, I'm sure there are far better companies out there then uhaul!!!!

Assistant Manager was really extreamly rude and combative,The police was called to mediate an other wise simple solution. We arrived 3 minutes late after sending medsages from another store because this store was well aware that we were on our way from Detroit the assistant manager transfered this stores calls when we arrived we were told he was fully aware of who we were and he wasn't going to do a damn thing to assist us his words.he also assaulted the 19 year old female who was with us and threatened the other stating" Its after hours so technically I'm not a Uhal employee so I advise you to leave while you can". We spoke and behaved calmly the entire time. Even the 2 police officers that handled the case said. There was alot of unnecessary actions on the assistant managers part.he held us up causing us to have to spend the night in a hotel room untill we could get the truck that held all of my belongings. Uhal towed the truck to the Fort Wyane location From Mykel..it was a terrible ordeal. And if you should rent from the Uhal in Fort Wyane I strongly suggest you wait for the General Manager.
