Hello U-Haul, To Whom It May Concern, I am writing because I am extremely pissed off with the way your company handled my reservation. I was charged almost $335 for only three days (Nov 29 to Dec 1), which is absolutely outrageous. Before picking up the truck, I booked a 15' truck for $29.99 with pickup on November 30. Then your company decided—on its own—to call and email me saying you changed my reservation from a 15' truck to a 20' truck without my permission. I never agreed to that. On top of that, when I called to fix your mistake, your representative offered me a “discount” on mileage—dropping it from $1.19 per mile to $0.69 per mile. I agreed because I assumed you were actually correcting the problem. But instead, I ended up being charged this ridiculous, inflated, unacceptable amount. I am furious because YOU messed up my reservation, YOU changed my truck size without approval, and now I am stuck paying for your error. This is completely unacceptable and honestly feels like a scam. I am expecting an immediate correction. I want: A refund for the overcharged amount. The price adjusted to what I originally booked and agreed to. An explanation as to why my reservation was altered without my consent. Fix this. This situation was created by your company, not me. Jessica RTruck bed had garbage in it. And old sign, 10’ piece of aluminum flashing. I had to dispose of these items before using the truck. The cab leaked water at the read locking mechanism was damaged so it wouldn’t lock properly. Made parking and operating more difficult for fear of theft.
