The truck wasn't ready or even set up in the 24/7 system when I arrived. I had to wait for the employees to arrive before I could get the truck I rented. It took almost an hour out of my moving day to do this. It was frustrating.
Good customer service staff
The employees kept calling me during my move to ask when I was returning the truck/trailer even before it was due. I told them the first time it would be back no later than the 5 days I was allowed but since I was driving from az to Oregon I did not have an exact day/time.I asked them to stop calling/harrassing me but they did not.
Reprimand the jerk clerk who treated me like garbage from start to finish. I have had many experiences with U-Haul and all of them have been very positive until today. The clerk was absolutely terrible, argumentative, unhelpful and frankly unprofessional. His response to every concern I had was that it was not his problem or that I had to get over it. In the past I have rented equipment at the Cornell Rd Hillsboro location often in the past, they even put the trailer hitch on my car and I have done business with many of your other locations a number of times but I will not be returning to Cornell Rd Hillsboro. Thank goodness there's still the Silverton Road location in Salem. Otherwise I would have become a Penske man today.

The Hillsboro location was great. Very helpful and quick getting us checked out and on our way.
I originally had drop off location a couple of miles from my location but they changed me to an hour and a half away. they gave me $25 (I haven't seen it yet) for gas in the truck but no compensation for my car that had to go to get me back. Not happy!
I booked a 24 hour 6:45 pm - 6:45 pm. When I picked up the trailer I was told it had to be back by 5pm or id have to rent it for an extra day. Why did you allow me to book a 24 hour. Was this a bait and switch? I had a 7 hour round trip to make meeting an elderly gentleman to buy his motorcycle. I had my day planned to be back by 6. Thankfully the gentleman met me earlier. This however wasn't even the worst part. The lady at the counter was SICK and handling my cards and paperwork. In these times you are allowing your employees to come in OBVIOUSLY sick. Had a cough, sniffles and very obvious was difficult for her to breathe.
Staff the location. It is not generally available by phone, as the one or two staffers are entirely occupied with store traffic. Similarly, check-out and check-in are slow, due to lack of personnel in busy times. Most of the people I speak with are working long shifts due to this lack. Give your web site a thorough review for usability; I would have done most of my work through UHaul.com, had it been easily navigable. Once I get attention from the store personnel, the experience is excellent: they are friendly, caring even under stress, and competent, even with aged equipment.

I reserved a 20' storage unit. I called to verify it. But--when I got there, it was not reserved for me and that size was not available. I m very unhappy about that.
I did the virtual pick up, took photos as requested and then received a comment back â€œREMOVE YOUR MASK!!!â€ - which I felt was a little rude considering it was the first time she was telling me what was wrong with my photo. The employees inside were not helpful and acted like I do this every day. I don't know procedures that's why I was asking questions. This was an awful experience and I'm glad I don't have to do this all the time.

The vehicle was in perfect condition. We chose to have two dollies and one refrigerator approved hand truck to help with the move. It was well worth the price to be able to move so much in so little a time frame.

Overall amazing experience however there wasn't much clarification nor conversation when picking up the rental truck. I wasn't advised that nobody would be coming out to inspect the truck or inquire about any issues that we may have noticed.
This location is definitely a great example of customer service.
