U-Haul equipment was damaged and never accounted for with U-Haul personnel, instead it was documented that I the customer damaged the truck which isn’t true. I reported this to the U-Haul prior to returning the truck. Very bad experience with the Hollywood location, they gave me run around which costed me an additional $100 with the moving company I hired. The truck had maintenance issues that I was lied to about, it was shaking heavily at any speed over 55mph, no help offered. Video and pictures were taken of damage prior to picking up truck from Hollywood location. They lost the truck and then when it turned up, it had damage(which happened while in their possession but they don’t want to be honest). I have proof.

I used the pre check-in option to provide all my personal info. When I arrived I was delayed and stalled because I needed a secondary number. And t had to be a spectate person. Such as a reference of some sort. I was so annoyed because I wasn’t made aware of this before hand. And I also used U-Haul in April and I didn’t need this. If this really is a new policy then include in the online pre check. Otherwise it’s a waste of time to ask for additional things while at the counter.

Every time I’ve rented a Uhaul van it has smelled absolutely terrible. I don’t know what people use those vans for, but they need to be cleaned so that they don’t smell. No fault of this location in particular — this has happened to me in other cities.

Engine light was on when I left the lot and I had no time to turn around and go back. Didn't become an issue but was annoying as I was concerned something was wrong.

I tried to use the app and pre check . the app didnt work when I arrived to the location and had to manually check in which just took more time after having gone through the app suggestions. Frustrating to go through all the download and input only to have to go through manual check in afterwards...

I was told by the agent over the phone that booked my reservation by phone that I could go pick up van immediately. I got there and was told my reservation wasn’t available for a whole hour. Knowing I would be late for work, I waited it out after calling every other location in the area. The van didn’t even show up when it was supposed to. I finally gave up and called an uber xl to pick me up and take me to work to make my pick up. While in that uber I got a call from the hollywood blvd location that my van had finally arrived. I spent an hour and half waiting, wasted money on an uber and was over an hour late for work. The people at location were unable to give me one of the 20 trucks and vans sitting in the parking lot because they were reserved by customers that weren’t there yet..
