The truck smelled like cigarettes and was in dire need of maintenance. The gentleman at the rental location was very rude. He got mad because I included my husband as sa second driver and he said I made his job “confusing” and more “complicated” by doing so. He also said the Uhaul employees were “idiots”.

This locaton has minimal parking available for renters' vehicles. One should be prepared to find alternative parking nearby if driving down to pick a U-Haul van.

I promise I will never do any business with this people any more. The truck that I rented was too big to enter my unit and hence returned it within 30 minutes of renting, and I drove less than 1 mile as noted from their record/order/invoice. I called the customer service and explained the situation within 10 minutes of renting the truck. She politely said that they would refund the money since I called them within a few minutes of renting the vehicle. And after two days I spoke with another customer representative to follow the case, and she said that the manager closed the case without informing the customer about their decision. This is one of the worst ways of doing business, and please be honest. Furthermore, they have one of the worst customer services. Also, the agent from where I rented the vehicle was unprofessional. Overall worst experience and no more relation with these peoples and I would publicize this with my colleagues, relatives, and friends. Bye



One particular staff member is very rude. My card was charged before he even told me the final cost. Also they need 2 or more staff working. There was 1 person wjile 4 people were returning trucks. Wait time too long.



They are racists and lied and said I didn’t get gas and I got sufficient enough gas to where it was when I picked it up. They lied and claimed it wasn’t. They beat another lady as well. Awful racist place and I’ll never go back here to rent a truck. They are also very rude.

I feel as if the gas meter was tampered with when completing my order. I went to a gas station and filled just a bit below where it first was. I receive the bill and it states otherwise. Bad customer service using deceitful tactics to increase revenue.

The fixed daily charge should be for a 24hr period regardless of whether a customer assumes he can Finnish and return the vehicle in a few hours. That way, even if inadvertently he overstay his expected lease period but within the 24hr cycle from When his lease activated, he does not have to pay extra charges. Reason being that he could as well have indicated a 24hr lease, but in the hope that he would Finnish earlier, he indicated a reduced number if hours if use, which for one or the other reason slightly stretches more than anticipated.

I think that it is pretty petty to ask the customer to clean out or sweep out the truck. The agent asked me to sweep out the truck and even more ironic it was clean. It was like he wanted to see me sweep it. Needless to say I was not having it. Clean out your own truck!

If your require the tank be returned at 1/4 of a tank of has shouldnt a uhaul at a gas stsion be abled to keep The tank at 1/4? The gas tank on the actual truck was at the 1/8 and the rep lied and said it was at 1/4. When I called to let them know right after getting in the truck I was still on the property the rep did not answer the phone when I finally got someone they told me I had to fill the tank to 1/4any way. Because the contact said 1/4 but the truck was at 1/8 of a tank. I will never return to this location. It was the lie about the amount of gas in the tank that caused me to never return. I felt swindled.

Avoid the Texaco Astrodome U-Haul location at all cost! I don't know if it was because of my race, my gender, or what but the attendant of this location made it very clear that he was not interested in assisting or even listening to me. My encounter with this attendant quickly went from a simple inquiry to him literally yelling at me in front of all the customers at the store. Once the attendant finally let me show him proof on my phone that I did in fact have a valid U-Haul reservation, the man literally threw the keys on the table and continued to yell at me that everything was my fault and not his. I have never felt so disrespected or humiliated, especially for something that could have easily been resolved in seconds (not 30 minutes), had the man just let me speak. This was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced. If you look at previous online reviews it seems that I may not be the only person who has dealt with this horrible attendant... Long story short: U-Haul online rep was fine- gave me no problems with retrieving and completing my reservation, and was very polite and professional. This Astrodome Texaco U-Haul attendant was moody, rude, and unprofessional. He will argue with you all day until you tell him he's right and you are wrong...literally. Please save yourself the trouble and pick any other U-Haul location except this one.

My trip was 6 miles causing the gas hand to barely move. Upon return I stated that if necessary I would put a gallon of gas. The guy was rude and told me I had to pay for 2 1/2 gallons of gas insisting that's what I used. I paid it but I know I didn't use much gas and was very upset at the way he spoke to me. Customer service is horrible at this location and I wouldn't recommend anyone to do business there.
