Trailer has shorted circuit for running light. I would propose an analytical tool that U-Haul would test every returning trailer to make sure all circuits are working and not shorted.

I go to Ithaca uhaul every weekend for an open trailer. I drive pasted at least one uhaul and live closer to another but the drive to Ithaca is worth it Joe the manager is amazing! I can't forget the staff either. I am always welcomed there if even there very busy you can tell there doing there best and they are great with every customer. This is by far the best uhaul I have been too.

The guys who work here are absolutely terrific. I wish for security purposes U-Haul had GPS, "The Club" for rent or sale and portable alarms because it is my understanding that many U-Haul vehicles parked overnight at motels have been robbed because the big U-Haul advertising graphics on the vehicle are like a bug billboard that says: "Household belongings here--come steal them.!" Regards--Peter Ogden PS I was very disappointed with the counter service at the dropoff at Lomond Place, Utica. I realize that it was a very busy Labor Day weekend: Maybe there should have been more staff on duty. The clerk was so slow while blabbing, blabbing, blabbing, blabbing and joking around with a couple she apparently knew while two other customers including me were patiently waiting that I almost passed out from exhaustion. I threw my keys on the counter and left before fainting after a day of loading and unloading the truck. I am 59 years old and had no one to help me move.

The van provided was filthy and smelled of mold and trash. I rented a utility dolly, which was not provided. I returned to the store to retrieve a dolly and was forced to wait 25 minutes. I told the manager about the missing dolly and the state of the van. He shrugged of the filth and smell, telling me that clients use it to haul trash and there was nothing he could do about that. He promised to deduct the cost of the dolly, but did not do so. I was also charged for all of the gas and mileage required to remedy to dolly mishap. Unfortunately, this was a fairly abysmal customer service experience.

I rent from this local U-Haul frequently, several times per year. I love the very convenient location. I WISH! the vehicles/cargo vans that I rent would be cleaned/detailed slightly at the very least. A clean windshield and clean sideview mirrors would also be very much appreciated. I always leave the vehicle CLEANER than when I rent it. Otherwise, the owner/staff are always very helpful and accommodating. Thank you

The truck I used needs serious manteinance. I used it for 1 hour and drove from the rental location to Stewart and E Buffalo, and from there to Valentine Pl and MLK, and back to the rental location. In that short trip, the car consumed 1/8 of the gas tank. I brought this up with the PIC of customer service and he said that there was nothing he could do. Won't return.

Aero van smelt like stall cigarettes, both in the front and back. I would not of used it if I was going any distance that would cause my items to have a chance to absorb it. Gross.

Inside of vehicle was filthy!! There were holes in the roof of the truck. It rained, and I had multiple household items damaged by water. I had to file a damage claim. I called the store manager on 09/04/17, left 2 messages for him. HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK!! I was told he received the messages, and would return my calls!!

I reserved the truck four weeks in advance so that I could what I wanted and pick-it-up where I wanted. The day before pick-up I got a call that I needed to go 35 miles away instead of 5! An alternate closer location was arranged, only to have the truck not returned. The dispatcher confirmed that I had to drive the original 35 miles (and my wife & I 35 back). Fortunately, he did adjust the mileage allowance and added a discount. Not a customer friendly experience!
