Please have the reserved equipment available at the recommended pickup point. I reserved an appliance Dolly and none was available. This was very, very aggravating.

First, let me state that U-Haul has rectified the issues I had with this specific location, but I would not rent from this specific location again, and would advise anyone else to stay away as well. (Reagan's Automotive, Jackson, TN) Simply put, the location is a part time U-Haul location, with it's primary business being an exhaust/muffler shop. When I first picked up my trailer, the U-Haul person was not there, and the mechanic had no idea how to rent it to me, so he just let me take it, without it being checked out to me or any paperwork. I called the location several hours later and the U-Haul attendant was now there. I went back to the location to retrieve the paperwork for the trailer. It was upon returning the trailer, the really bad stuff happened. I returned the trailer a day late, at night and dropped off paperwork in the drop box to show it had been returned. Ten days later, I get a phone call telling me if the trailer isn't returned they are going to report it stolen. I called and spoke with them and explained it had been returned. Upon further conversation, it seems the corporate office couldn't contact anyone at the location to verify if the trailer had been returned. I called the location on the next day with no answer. The second day I called the home office again, and was told once again they couldn't reach anyone at the location, and the the area manager was going to swing by on his way home to check on it. Needless to say, the ASM did find the trailer and got it checked in. However it strikes me as odd that no one would go and check on a location if they hadn't been able to contact them for several days, and that there would be no notice that an item had not been returned prior to 10 days late. Everyone I spoke with on the phone was nice and courteous, however the person at the rental location was unpleasant, spoke really bad about the U-Haul company (I believe his direct words were "I Hate U-Haul". Stay from there until they get there issues fixed.

I made my reservation online and was only given the number of miles to get from my pickup location to my drop off location. I was not given any consideration for the fact that I would have to drive to a separate location to load my belongings on the truck before taking it to the drop off location. I ended up having to pay money for additional mileage that I went over what was estimated. I think it should be asked how far the renter is going to have to drive to load and unload the truck.

I was charged for two days of rental even though I had the equipment for less than 24 hours. I was told I had until Sunday afternoon to return it.

The Uhaul computer system needs to be redesigned. I reserved the trailer on line, checked in on line and was told by the agent everyting had to be verified. Took a long time. What’s the purpose of the online chack in? And the system added insurance which I had declined. It had taken so long I just said OK. I was running out of time. Not the way I like to do business. You get a zero on your system.
