Very pleasant however the downfalls are you cant purchase boxes or supplies. Since it is a gas station with one employee you have to wait.

The person who was there when I dropped the truck off, would not close out my contract, or give me a receipt. I rented the truck for 24 hours, but returned it the same day. He told me he was charging me for 2 days. It was a horrible experience and I have rented there several times, but I will never go there again!!!!!!!

Took an hour to rent the vehicle and then told me everything was in back of the truck. Luckily I looked because NOTHING was there. Attendant was too busy on FaceTime with his girlfriend to do his job. Then didn’t have the proper amount of equipment I asked for and one of the handtrucks given was broken. When I returned the truck there was a different attendant and he was quite delightful to deal with. He checked the truck and seemed even baffled himself that the morning attendant was so incompetent. I’d only recommend renting from this location if you are renting at night and deal with the older Hispanic gentleman.

I was unable to pick at 7am as I reserved. I was told that the system is down. I have to wait till 9 am to pick up. I call the help desk which is the dispatch center, there were rude and lying. At 9am the next shift were very helpful.

The location is an Authorized Dealer and can be easily missed from the road since this is a gas station and not an actual U-Haul company. Also, the price quoted on the phone was not the price I paid. I had to pay more and I just couldn't understand the disconnect between the representative I spoke to at the Linden Boulevard branch who made the reservation and confirmed an amount as opposed to speaking with the rep at the Baisley Boulevard location. I felt like I had no option but to pay the higher amount he quoted. Bad business but just to let you know the representative was very professional and courteous.

I originally had a reservation for Friday at the Jamaica, NY location. When I went to pick up the rental truck, they had given my truck away. I could not get a truck for Saturday or Sunday because every U-Haul in a 50 mile radius was completely booked. I called the 1-800 number many times and received terrible customer service, the individual people were not bad but no one was helping me and they all kept transferring me to other departments for over an hour, to which I finally just hung up after frustration. Later, after calling many more times, I was luckily enough to finally obtain a reservation for Sunday at 11am. On Sunday, when I was in route to pick up my rental truck, I receive a text message from U-Haul saying my reservation would be ready for pick up at 3pm. I called U-Haul. After some time of talking and explaining that this was the second time I had paid movers whom were at the facility ready to move, and that I absolutely needed a truck by 12pm, no later, I was transferred again to a woman in the scheduling department who said again there were no available trucks till 3pm. After more conversation, she finally said she could give me a truck at 12pm but I would have to go to another location to pick it up. For that reason, I went to the above address, a gas station, to pick up the rental. I waited amount 20-30 mins before I was able to leave. I then drove the rental to the Jamaica location so my paid movers could finally begin their job and then I had to take a cab back to the previous location to pick up my car. For the waste of time and money and ultimately the inconvenience, the woman on the phone told me they would discount my truck for me. In addition to the gas tank amount being incorrect, when I returned the truck, U- Haul did not discount my rate as promised. I have used U-Haul in the past for truck rentals and storage units and never had an issue, but after this experience I am beyond upset and outraged at the level of disrespect and disregard for returning customers.

Horrible experience. Called UHaul. When I asked to speak to a manager Ibwas hung up on. When my move is completed to TX. I will be sure to lodge a complaint to the cooperate office.

The price changes three times not good if I had a strick budget.customer service rep made me feel I paid over phone with credit card.good thing I call credit card company or I would have sent driver for truck without payment. Good thing you answer phone promptly

Cannot understand why TWO ADDITIONAL numbers are needed. Found that to be quite aggravating and the reason I would hesitate to rent from U-Haul again. I am the one renting and while I am somewhat OK with a secondary number, really got annoyed when I was asked for a THIRD contact INCLUDING name and address!! Totally preposterous!

The van was covered with snow and I had to ask the attendant to clean it off for me. The interior of the van was filthy like it was never cleaned since it was purchased.
