Was instructed to wait with u-haul under the green tarp and told someone would meet me there to check out. Waited for over 5 minutes with nothing and nobody else checking in or causing a delay. There were little tree nuts in the main seating cargo all over the floor from the previous renter. Was told I’d receive a call in the morning if they had a vehicle at the closer location to my house and didn’t receive that either. All in all, a very disappointing experience.

I do highly recommend their $5 insurance. The truck got stuck in the mud and had to have a tow truck. Received assistance within 20 minutes from the time I notified U Haul of the problem. Took 2 tow trucks to get it out. Without the insurance it would have been a pretty penny. On the down side, when we picked up the truck the attendant seemed very abrupt and kind of rude. He did not go over any of the damages that were already on the vehicle or even walk us around the truck to inspect it. He just showed where to fuel it. The tailights did not work, the headlights were horrible, and the interior lights did not work. We had to extend another day due to not being able to drive at night. This is a safety issue that needs to be addressed!

The truck was a mess. The loading ramp had mud all over it, which in turn ended up inside the truck and on my stuff. The truck also did not start well. The key had to be turned once and then turned again for it to actually fire up. The location and the people were great, but the truck could have been better.

The only thing that I had a problem with on this rental was the blowers did not work for the heater. Otherwise the staff at this location was friendly and got me in and out very quickly.

I picked up a close in trailer and the break lights didn't work I don't know that when I pulled off. People were honking and rolling down there window trying to let me know the lights on the trailer was not working. I could have got stop by the police. I didn't like that it should have been check by your employee before I pulled off.

First, my appointment to pick up a truck was canceled. I was told it was because the truck was supposed to be picked up by 6:30 pm, when I have the confirmation email stating 7:45pm. Then the rep on the phone said that there was another truck available to pick up, but the store was already closed for the night. I was actually told that they had a truck available to pick up but they were close and that the following morning they had none available in 4 in the afternoon. I asked why the internet shows that they are open until 8 pm if they closed at 630 and they had no answer for that other then to try and get me a reservation for a different location the following day. I drove to the store anyway, and guess what.... they were open and had a truck. I showed the guy there my confirmation email and he told me that reservation was canceled and he made a new one for me and I got a truck. The staff was friendly. The truck was fine, however ther was no wiper fluid in it at all. Seems like a safety concern to allow your trucks to go out with no wiper fluid, especially this time of year and with the weather we have been having in Michigan. I am not sure what happened with all the confusion on this but it was a bit stressful. Moving is bad enough and that is why reservations are made to take away the stress of having to wonder. Had I listened to the guy on the phone I would have lost all the labor i had set up to help me move and it would have been real bad. Thank god I didn’t listen to him and decided to drive to the store anyway! Also, I did not get the moving blankets that I had originally ordered which was a stink, they did not end up charging me for them but not having them caused me a slight issue.... lucky I know how to improvise. Could have been a better experience!

The place was very busy when I was there on a Sunday afternoon. People were waiting to be helped the entire time i was there so I would recommend that you get more people to work there if you can.

No one was inside for customer service, had to go outside and find someone to assist me. The drivers side window crank was falling off the truck. But once I was assisted he was very professional and took care of everything I needed.

I was charged an extra $3 and some cents. I went 63 miles instead of 60. I brought the truck back with 1/2 tank of gas when I was supposed to a 1/4 tank. I got no credit for that.
