I thought I would reach out because there were a few concerns on my recent rental. The issues are listed below: 1. When I reserved my truck online, I reserved a pick up for my 15 foot truck in Rock Hill, NY. I was contacted the night before my rental telling me that the pick up for the truck will now be in Liberty, NY, which is almost 30 minutes away from where I needed the truck. Had I known this would’ve happened I would’ve used a different rental service in Rock Hill as my time was very pressed on the day of the rental. 2. When I picked up the truck in Liberty on the morning of 7/20/2018, it was at a small local grocery store. As I paid for the truck, they handed me the keys and said have a good trip. I asked if they needed to do a walk around with me and they said, “Your all set.” This had me concerned but I listened to her because they were the U-Haul rep. 3. A few things with the truck during the three hour ride came up. The AC was sporadically working at times which became very inconvenient. Also, when I was driving at night, the right headlight was shaking and pointing more downward then the other one. 4. After I got to my location in South Jersey, I filled it up and dropped it off. When asked if there was anything wrong with the truck, I told her the list above. She asked if anyone had walked around the truck with me when I picked it up and I said no, which I thought was odd. When we looked at the light, we noticed the headlight casing was partially broken after we opened the hood. While she saw no visible damage to the outside of the truck in that area, we were both puzzled as to what could’ve broken the headlight casing. She also notices some scrapes here and there on the truck which I assure her were there when I picked it up. She was a great agent and said that she was not going to hold me accountable for anything as she was unable to prove the truck wasn’t damaged prior to me getting it. While I appreciated her decision, it bothered me that I could’ve been held responsible for damage to a truck that I did not cause. I must say this experience was less than normal of my other rentals with your company. While both representatives were pleasant, these issues will come into play during my next rental decision. The agent was very helpful and polite, but the van was not cleaned after the last person had it: leaves all over the cargo area and sand, garbage in cab, etc.

This location was fine, however our truck was not available. This was a huge inconvenience for us and although location was fine, we are very dissatisfied with U-Haul at this time. I am working with U-Haul to see what they can do for us since this happened, so do not yet have my final review posted.

pick up location was nowhere near where i wanted. it was the opposite direction of our travel. the pick up location did not help us hook up the trailer, and then gave us a hard time about where we wanted to drop it off. i would not use this service again.

The truck was not clean. I was over charged on my credit card that I left on file. Had to cancel my credit card to wait for a new one in the mail which is a huge hassle. The guy at the store was extremely nice and had lots of information about the truck and rentals that my questions were answered and didn't have to call someone else or wait on hold.
