Offer early-morning pickup, as the Web site led me to believe. Offer all the equipment that was promised in the reservation (see above). Offer one-ways (ibid.).

This location accepted our 1130AM 8 hour reservation, then informed us in person that they close at 6 and there is no overnight parking / drop off option. Additionally, their street and neighborhood don't allow overnight parking. Extremely frustrating this wasn't disclosed. Essentially unless you can abide by their exact operating hours (10am-6pm), you will have to find your own place to park the truck and return it the following day.

I had an entirely positive experience with this location until I got my final bill. The email they sent confirms I drove the Uhaul a total of 12.2 miles. I filled it up with about 3 gallons of gas before returning it, just in case. They billed me for 5.3 gallons of gas plus a service fee. If you do the math, the only way I could possibly have owed them is if I was getting 2.3 MPG. Not 23, 2.3, and this is ignoring the gas purchase I made 10 minutes before dropping it off. I've emailed them and gotten no response. I spent 30 minutes on hold with Uhaul Corporate to correct the issue, which apparently requires a manager to call them. We'll see if that happens. Pro Tip: With this location, be sure to use a credit card so you can dispute the transaction!

I had the worst user experience in my life at Uhaul!!! I reserved my truck reserved for 8:30am and I had movers to start my work at 9am. My truck pickup location was in "EZ Self Storage of Marina". I got there and the door is locked. No one is there and I couldn't access my truck. I tried getting my truck using the self service option and it was failing and offering me to call someone for my issue. I made the call and he told me that the storage unit opens at 10!!! I had to wait until 10 there to pickup my truck! Even though I had a truck reserved for 8:30. I had to pay $150 extra to my movers since they waited an extra 1.5 hours for me. It was a very stressful and emotionally draining experience. My truck was EXTREMELY old, dirty, and damaged. The fuel level was showing slightly higher than what my gage was showing, but I was so late and frustrated that I didn't even care about it at that time. I had a very negative experience with U-haul and the EZ storage pickup location. I would like to talk to a manager regarding this issue. U-haul caused a lot of trouble, loss of money, and time for me (even though I had a truck reserved and guaranteed by U-haul)

After driving halfway to our destination, we heard a kitten meowing. A cat was in the engine. We took two hours to try to get the poor cat out but could not, I think the cat died. It was sad. Both mirrors did not work, and they had to be held up if they were to be used. The customer service was excellent.

Very poor communication between franchises employees and corporate. A rental was found for me and the franchise employee decided he didn’t want to rent the trunk and refused to speak to corporate , then a truck was found back at the first store for me ,, lots of confusion

I was incorrectly charged for fuel. I returned it exactly like the attendant at the pick up location told me...at 3/4 full because that was the level at which it was at when I picked it up! I need you to send me the corrected invoice for zero amount due asap.

Please do not provide trucks with empty gas tanks, it is a huge wrench in the plan to pick up a truck only to have to go locate a gas station first thing. Not acceptable in my opinion.

I think its a bit of a dirty trick to have your customers fill it to the level it was at...in my case just above 1/4...have them return it to that level, and if they are off, charge them $30, when its clear you have no intentions of refilling it yourselves. If you did, it would be full everytime, like a normal car rental service....this is the epitome of "bad revenue" and frankly a practice that is beyond ridiculous. If the truck was full, its easy to get back to full. Customers have no idea how to fill it back to that level....exactly. And if they are off (even a little, you charge them)...put yourselves into a competitive market, which I realize you are not and this practice would go away in the name of customer experience. I drove 20 miles to move a couch. I'm okay paying for fuel...but the charge seems inappropriate when you are clearly charging everyone and not even filling it back up.

No improvements needed based on my experience. The staff at Self Storage were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, not to mention very nice! These ladies made the whole process a pleasure and very easy. This is the best experience I've had renting from U-Haul. Very useful to have the rental at the storage facility.
