Be reasonable. Picked up the van on 1/2 tank, dropped it off at night returning it with the needle apparently in between 3/8 and 1/2 tank. Was charged $22 for 1/16 of a tank of gas.

Even though it all worked it. It was touch and go at first. While I was told (at the time of my original reservation), there was not a 15 foot truck available for my date, I was told by the agent the only one that was available was a 20 foot truck for my date of 12/1/18. I was ok with that. But on Nov. 30th, Taylor Rental called to confirm my reservation for my foot truck. Of course, I explained about the size of the truck, and told them it has to be a 20 foot truck In the end the agent called back with the correct truck and everything else went very smoothly. Truck was good, pickup was easy, drop off was easy. With no additional charges.

First of all the truck had multiple warnings on the dashboard, such as low tire pressure and I didn't know the other two symbols. Second, the cleaner they used inside the cab to clean the interior had a very bad smell.

With the rental due back Sunday morning, I received a call on my cell phone Saturday morning from the drop off location strongly asking me if I would have the truck back by 9:00am on Sunday because it would be going right back out. Trying to be helpful, I hustled my move and brought the truck back by 2:30 Saturday afternoon! The same person who called me was there, but he wasn't even appreciative. I wanted to walk out to the the truck with him to inspect the return to acknowledge every was in agreement with my contract. I explained my mileage concern, and like the representative at the pick up location, the drop off location representative didn't care. Then while talking at the rental return location, the representative got in the truck started it and drove away. Very rude. I was not done speaking with him, but he showed absolutely no concern with my concerns. From my perspective, this was a front line of customer relations train wreck.

Rented a truck for a day, but this Uhaul facility let me only use it until 2:30pm I needed a smaller truck, they only had a 25 footer available. They did not give me a discount. Gave me a hard time at the time when my helpers went to pick it up. I cold not complete, what I was planning to do.

The side view mirrors on the truck I got where stuck, and I couldn't move them to adjust. Otherwise, everything was in good working order, and the process of renting the truck was quick and painless.

the van kept overheating.. i had to stop every 30 miles and shut the vehicle off. i also had to run the heat at full blast with the windows open in a noreaster storm to draw the heat out of the engine.. i will be contacting uhaul for some financial give back..

U-Haul location was closed at 3pm when I went to return my truck even though hours were listed until 5. I came back at 5pm (when the location was supposed to close) and no one was there again so I dropped my key off. I woke up the next morning to a $600 charge for over 250 miles of travel..I only traveled 15 miles for an in-town rental...spent the morning on hold with customer service to fix the issue. I called and visited the U-Haul location at 10am and again, no one was there despite the hours stating “open 8am-12pm”. I was not offered any compensation for my wasted time and gas, and I am awaiting a refund for the $523. In overage charges.

Taylor Rental was supposed to be open until 5pm. I called Taylor rental at 3pm to verify their closing time and find out the additional cost since I was due to have it back at 2:45 pm. No one answered the phone, no voicemail, no call back. When I arrived at 4:55pm, the lights were off, gate locked and nobody there. I did not know at this point I could drop off the rental and submit the drop off through an app nor was I ever informed of a uhaul app. I brought the trailer back home and called the Toms River uhaul number to try and change my drop off location. The woman on the phone gave me another number to call to change the drop off. I called the number and was on hold for 10 minutes. I hung up and called the main uhaul number and was informed finally that i can download an app and return it. All in all, pretty disappointed with the nonexistent communication and a rental point that was most certainly closed prior to when they were supposed to close, and possibly closed at 3pm when I called.

The pick date was changed less than 24hrs before the scheduled date. This caused a change in the pickup location as i was only able to pick on the originally scheduled day, adding an addition hour and over 50 miles to my original plans. This is unacceptable.

I had ordered a mattress bag, and they did not have any. They said contact U-Haul to remove from bill. Also they did not tell me that the U- Haul website had an app to retern the trailer after hours. I found out that info when i got to my final destination.

Pick up process was quick and easy, even though the guy was holding down the shop alone. The interior light in the back of the truck didn't work. Made it a little difficult for nighttime unloading, but not the end of the world. We didn't even think to check that when we picked it up.

I was charged 0.80 for additional mileage not sure why; I thought I was within my limit. The pick up point was farther away. I just drove back to the hotel, fueled the truck up, drove to NJ, fueled the truck up, dropped the vehicle at my residence and returned the truck and trailer to the drop off point.
