Hassle free rental. The truck was relatively clean and in good working condition. It met our expectations and we got the move done without any issues.

The location was fine, however what I went through to get a vehicle was another story. I initially tried renting a vehicle on Saturday but was refused without explanation really ease the person didn't want to help. I double checked about how I could pay and was told visa debit was fine but not once was told not for pick up trucks. Until I tried a second time to rent it, at which time I was switched from downtown to manotiock to pick up the vehicle adding extra mileage for me to pay. I ended up having to rent a box truck which I could of did the first day but nobody said it was an option just that my card was no good. I've rented from you before and I have rented a pick up before so I didn't know what the problem was and unfortunately your employees don't care about the customers.

Make sure vehicles are full not 1/4 of a tank to avoid the discrepancy of where fuel level is and threaten a $30 charge for 4 liters of fuel.

Terrible customer service, still waiting on the Regional manager to resolve the escalation on the kms and the penalties for the gas that was not accurately represented in the contract.

I rent a lot from u-haul due to the nature of my business. I'm always encouraged by employees to use the express entry for a speedier pick up, however on the last few occasions I have waited for over an hour to collect my vehicle. The issues seems to stem from the systems that U-haul use. When you book in a van for a certain time it is important that customers get there van on time. We have other commitments/arrangements that depend on a timely pick up and U-haul do nothing to compensate late pick up due to system issues, but are quick to charge if and when vehicles are delivered late. Need to work on customer service and provide a true "express" experience.

We booked a few weeks in advance to make sure we had a van for the move. Booked at Ottawa Merivale location, got an email saying the pickup location was changed to Prince of Wales location. On the morning of the move when we got to the pickup, they said no vans, call u haul. We did. Were directed to Coventry Road location, went there. Long line moving slowly. Went online to check in so we could go to express pickup. Got a conf number. At the express pickup I was told the pickup location was now Manotick Main St. No trucks at Coventry. By the time we drove out to Manotick and back to the move location we were 2 and a half hours behind. This was not a pleasant experience and I don't know if we will book at u haul ever again. Not worth the three hours of running back and forth across town. And no concern at all from the customer service employees or desk staff at all. Just push us off to the next location. Not impressed.

I am very disappointed in the service and misinformation provided by the staff.I spent approximately $800 on a one way trip from Ottawa to Grimsby.I made sure the drop off location was on Barton st. Ottawa u-haul person said that you can drop it off anywhere in hamilton but I received a call today informing me that I had to drop it off at the upper Wellington location.This localities from Grimsby almost 30 to 40 kilometre away.I incurred extra mileage charges and extra gas.On top of this they wanted to charge me for extra 400 kilometres because of an error in their mileage count.

Always slow to deal with and he tried to upcharge me on mileage. Suggested I don’t finalize the reservation with my mobile device but I wonder if this was to increase the rate of mileage. Thankful I was able to access my reservation. Close to my residence so it is convenient but if I had other options such as another broker, I would go there as opposed to this station.
