I made my reservation online and chose a location close to my home. When I went to pick up truck at the designated time there was no reservation at the place where I made it. The truck was at the listed location - half an hour away. The local people at both locations were very helpful, but I hesitate to use online reservations again.

i rented a truck for a 2000 mile drive. The cab had drinks spills and dirt all over, dirty dash, filthy windows. Not that its required for them to rent it to me clean, but it is courteous....oh, and i have to return it clean, or i face a $25 dollar cleaning charge. The oil was extremely dark and the air filter was far more dirty than i believe to be acceptable. One of my wipers was also torn. This is the first time ive used U-Haul. And i will sure be checking the trucks condition on other rentals, if i use U-Haul again.

Don't overbook your trucks, and then e-mail clients a day or so before pick-up, that the truck is not going to be available at the location they reserved it for.....it caused A LOT OF STRESS...wondering if we were going to have a truck or not on our moving day!

The pickup experience was miserable! I never received a call or message stating my pickup location was changed, so I drove around town for over an hour trying to find the new location was moved to the next town. Why have a online "reservation" service if it does not reserve the product??? Furthermore, I scheduled movers to meet me at 0900 because the location I selected opened at 0830, but, the new location didnt open until 0930, and was further away. Thanks for that... I called uhaul's 800 number to locate the new location or my "reserved" truck and address the issue of not being contacted about the move. The first agent told me there was a message left on my phone by the scheduling department on Friday. I always have my cell phone with me, and never received a call or message from uhaul. The first agent transferred me to scheduling, and they told me the pickup location is the one that supposedly left me a message, and they would have a supervisor contact me and forward me the recorded message they left. I spoke to the lady at the pickup location, and she said they do not call customers, and her computer had a note that a Rasheda (sp?) supposedly left me a message and her business does not have anyone by that name. I have yet to be contacted by a supervisor or sent the message that was supposedly left... Hopefully someone sees this that is high enough in the company to care about their customers.... And... The first truck I picked up had a crack in the windshield, which shattered within 2 miles of leaving the location. I was told to call uhaul and get it repaired or come back and get another. Why would I need to spend my time getting it repaired??? And, it seemed to be an inconvenience for the store me to get the other truck, but that's what I had to do. The other truck was filthy, with several items left in the truck from the previous user, the back very trashy (unswept), and cigar ashes, wrappers and at least 10 butts in the cab. If at all possible, I will avoid using uhaul in my future moves!!!

make process quicker. have products that was booked available. be up front with taxes. I also had to switch locations due to employee unable to work system which cost me a lot of extra time and ruined my schedule and cost me more money.

Staff wasn't very updated on rentals! I was told that I didn't have a truck reserved and I had to explain that I had a contract number. Staff stated the Uhaul system was down and I had to wait. Once I left I received a call shortly after stating the system was back up! Unsure if this was true from the start!!!!

I was told by a rep.over the phone that they took checks as payment and my card would be used only for holding the vehicle for that day and time. After returning the van i was told that they do not take checks. I think their reps need to be retrained in what they take and not take for payment.

Personal was very poor and I was treated horrible. Gas was incorrect on truck (1/2) and when I told her, she said oh well still make sure to fill gas back to 5/8 where the contract States. I did return truck with above 5/8.

When I arrived I was offered an upgrade from a van to a small box truck and was told that it would be the same price. What I was not told was that the price of the miles was .40 cents per mile more. Did not catch this until leaving. This cost me a substantial amount of money.
