I reserved the uhaul weeks in advance and never was contacted by Uhaul to confirm my pickup location. I selected Winona, Ms. I drove to the site the day before to check on the truck since I had movers lined up the next morning, drivers, hotel reservations for my long trip ahead, and had a bad experience before. No one could help me. I was quite worried so I called uhaul and was told I would be contacted before 6 pm about scheduling and pickup info. I never was contacted. I had to call back and after talking to two people I was told to pickup the uhaul in Mathiston which is 80 miles round trip out of my way. This is the 2nd time I have attempted to use the Winona location. They are unprofessional and don’t seem to care one way or the other if customers needs are met. Moving is very stressful and Uhaul communication was unacceptable.

I received a text message to call location and confirm. I found this was difficult to do because every time I called the person I needed to speak with was not available. Also there was a trailor hitched to the truck that we did not rent and my husband was not sure how to take it off. The person again who we needed to speak with was handling the rental over the phone when my husband picked it up so he had to ask a stranger to help him figure out how to get it separated from the u haul.

Attendant wasn’t trained to log in the U-haul. She wrote my name and time returned on a notepad to give to the owner the next morning. I returned the truck on a Wednesday night and it was not marked returned until the following Tuesday. This was after calling U-Haul 2 times regarding the truck not showing as returned. Another issue I have is the wait times when calling U-haul directly. Well over 10 minutes each time. That’s a terrible customer experience.

The young man that was there did not know how to check me in and asked me to come back the next day. I told him I couldn't, he called someone and I left my receipt with him and left the truck. I wanted someone to know that the truck must have had a hole in the top because it leaked on my furniture and boxes. I ran into a heavy rain and did not know it was leaking until I got home.
