james sI reserved an 8am appointment for a trailer pick-up at this location. Prior to pick-up, I was ensured by a U-Haul representative that the location would be knowledgeable in connecting the trailer to the hitch and ensuring my car was set-up correctly. Upon arrival, the representative was neglectful and we had to remind them multiple times to assist us with our reservation. 30 minutes later, he came out to help us and was extremely rude and acted as if we should know how to do all of it ourselves. Despite was we were told over the phone, he did not know how to connect the trailer or do anything involved in the installation. After watching U-Haul YouTube videos to make sure he was doing it right and correcting things behind him, I drove my car onto the trailer. He told me to come out from my window to get out because he did not know there was a panel on the driver's side to get out from. This whole time he was rude and clearly did not care if anything was done correctly, he was more concerned with getting back to whatever work he was doing. After this experience, I called U-Haul to explain the situation and the inability this company lacked to be able to facilitate U-Haul trailer disbursement. A couple hours later, the U-Haul representative called me on my cell phone almost 10 times - harassing and yelling at me for complaining about him. When I arrived at my drop-off U-Haul location, they were great and explained that this situation was unacceptable and that the previous U-Haul representative incorrectly secured my car. This was an extremely uncomfortable and unsafe feeling situation, which U-Haul did not seem to care much about as a customer to them. They told me I would hear from the regional manager who never contacted me, I had to get them on the phone myself. They said this circumstance did not deserve any compensation, and almost did not believe what I was saying. I will not be using U-Haul for any future moving services due to the poor customer service I received.
