When we arrived we were told that our 15 foot moving truck was not there. We were told that we need to go to another U-haul to rent a smaller or a larger moving van - a smaller one would not be big enough to move our furniture and the larger one is too large (i've never driven a truck that large). I had a deadline for using the elevator that would expire if I did not move out of the condo in time and we were trying to locate another vehicle and wasted over 1/2 hour doing this. It is not just the location that was at fault - it was the booking agent on the phone that confirmed the vehicle availability 1 week prior to us picking it up. They said the vehicle would be available but it was not. I am not pleased!!!!! Our pick up was at 9:00 am and at 9:40 the 15 foot truck rolled into the lot. The vehicle was in terrible operating condition with a crack running from driver to passenger side of the front windshield. The truck rattled and shook like it needed some maintenance, but I managed to drive it to the condo just in time for the booked elevator and we managed to move our furniture out in just enough time without incurring a penalty charge. I will never rent any vehicle from U-haul - the people on the phone were borderline rude, and the attendant at the location didn't know anything (he said he just works on Saturday and knows nothing). He also stated that there are many issues with U-haul booking system. U-haul better over-haul their booking system because it was not a pleasant experience with this move. I will try to contact senior management at U-haul to address this matter.

Have someone who knows what they are doing
Brian FI expected a full gas tank. There was only a quarter tank. No snow brush. No windshield wiper fluid. Truck was clean thankfully.
