The day I went to pick it up the place was closed and when I called he said he was out of town on a tow. I changed the reservation to pick up on the following morning and I was assured someone would be there and I changed the reservation to 3 days. I got a call from the gentleman at 7:30 stating he was going to be out of town again the following day so I needed to pick up the truck right away. He was very condensed condenseding about me driving the unit. He refused to hook up the trailer and said I needed to come back with the truck Saturday morning once truck was loaded and ready to leave town then he changed the reservation back to 4 days. The truck side view mirrors were rusted and I couldn't adjust them and even he had a difficulty moving them. The truck had a residual smell of pot. I finally had everything loaded and I asked him about taking off the car in case of emergency and he showed me but he said I shouldn't do it myself and I wasn't allowed to back up with the trailer attached and I needed to go immediately to the drop off location to have them to take off the trailer before I go to unload it. It was a good thing I asked how to take off the car and trailer because the young lady at the drop location didn't know how to take the car off. I was very upset about the situation and when I called back uhaul they gave me a free day but I still ended up paying for the whole 4 days even though I only had it for 3 days plus I never got the free day or the $50 off for the reservation guarantee. I have to move rest of my belongings up to my land next month and I'm seriously thinking about not using uhaul again. This isn't a good way to keep customers especially when moving is stressful plus I needed the extra day for loading and I had to be up in my storage on Saturday plus I had hotel reservations that couldn't be changed.. People reserve the equipment due to have deadlines that can't be changed at the convenience of uhaul.

The equipment was clean however it broke down on me then the shift link cable broke. Uhaul did get a service tech there in a timely manner. Maybe the trucks need to be inspected more often. I cast me valuable time with the delay and I did not get to my destination on time.

Jennifer GThe building was broken down and dirty with overgrown grass and absolutely nobody on site. It was noon on Friday, Oct 31st. I called the number on the app for the drop off. The man that answered advised me to simply leave the trailer there. When I advised I was alone and physically could not unhook the trailer and asked about the posted hours showing they should be open to help, I was told. 'I don't know what to tell you.' I had to drive back towards Sarasota to get someone to come back with me to unhook the trailer. Worst Uhaul experience ever.
JESSICA BLocation was collocated inside a junk / tire yard. U-Haul signed were barely visible and the was no real way to enter the facility except a garage door…I had to call to get the representative to open the door. Once inside there was no real office / customer area, so we completed the paperwork in the garage…the whole time with a King Corsa (large dog) not very happy to have me there. The reservation got changed by the representative and it took be 45, working with a 800-go U-Haul rep, to get it changed back to my original reservation. Overall a very long and frustrating experience.
