Booked the truck to be picked up in Ashland, got a confirmation text for it, then got another confirmation text to pick up in Natick which added 8 miles of charges. I reserved the truck for two days and I got charged for the 2nd day. This is the second time I’ve had an issue with u-haul.

U-Haul doesn’t accept foreigner driving license (UK professional - equals US CDL class A) as a driver, but for the online booking this driving license Nr. was accepted. This is very unpleasant surprise when you are going to pick up a car.

You need more people working at the front desk for check-in. This is the 2nd time I have booked a truck and have had to wait 30 mins or longer. Will most likely us other U-Haul in town next time.



I was charged for $433 damage to a vehicle I did not commit. I purchased insurance on the vehicle and was told “if there’s any damage, you will only be charged $150.” I was not called before I was charged $433. I was never in a position for the roof damage for which I was being charged to happen-I parked solely on driveways which were not overhung by trees and in parking lots. I drove only on clear surface streets and on highways. I have rented from uhaul at least a dozen times. I will never rent again, nor will I pay this charged fee, even if I have to sue.

Used two times in one week. Both times the gas measurement was off. The first time I said something, the second time I was too much in a hurry. Not a big deal. Maybe three bucks. I would rate the service people 5 stars. Forgot the name of the first guy. The second guy's name was Andrew. Thanks for a good experience.

Bogus upcharges. Had to call customer service to dispute them. Safetrip and Safemove are not the same service. Cleaning fee added for no reason as it was 15 minute drive between residences with Uhaul contracted loaders/unloaders.

The only problem I noticed was that there were a couple of boxes in back of the trailer when I arrived at destination. Partly my fault because I didn't check at uhaul center.

On 11/23/2019, I went to UHaul of Natick to pick up a 10' truck, which I had reserved and specifically stated in the reservation that there were no other authorized drivers. I was going to use the UHaul app to do the pickup. When I got there, the app said that the truck had already been taken, which I found curious. When I went to the front desk, I was informed that in fact, someone claiming that I was her uncle had taken the truck using what I was told was a copy of my contract. I did not authorize anyone to take the truck on my behalf. And this person is and was unknown to me. The manager was not very helpful. He simply said that plans change all the time and she had my same last name (!!) so he gave her the truck. At the very least, he should have called my number before giving out the truck, especially as I had specifically NOT authorized anyone else to take it. So now I had an unknown person using a truck that was registered to my name, and I was very unhappy about that. They refused to change anything, and my name is STILL on that contract although all I did was reserve the vehicle. If anything had happened or the truck was not returned I would have had to prove that I was not involved and this has caused me a lot of unhappiness. On top of that, instead of being as helpful as possible to try to get me a replacement truck, I was told just to call an 800 number and try to find something. It was only when I went back a second time that they called Lowell and got me a replacement which I had to drive 25 miles to pick up so that I could finish my job. As an aside, the manager in Lowell was terrific and I am very please with their service. Finally the truck that was rented under my name was returned to Natick, so I believe at this point there is no other damage that can occur and that I am no longer liable for anything that might have happened. I will never go back to Natick UHaul. I was extremely unhappy with the way I was treated and the whole experience was extremely stressful.

Even though I had reserved the truck months in advance, I did not get the size I requested and had to make do with a smaller size.. The staff at the check in were unprofessional and non-responsive to the inconvenience. I was not able to do the "electronic" check in when I returned the truck and, again, the staff couldn't care less. Won't be using u-haul again.

I used the 24/7 app. There was no information on what to do with the key after returning the truck with the mobile app. I had to go in and ask.
