I received a call from U-Haul two days prior to my original reservation telling me that my pick up location has changed. They did not mention that it would be a lockbox pick up location at a corner market, where the employees have no knowledge of how the system works. I didn’t receive any instructions via email on how to check out the U-Haul. I was on hold for over 10 minutes. Just trying to reach someone over the phone. When we opened the back of the truck, the furniture, pads and furniture dolly that we reserved were not in there and I had to drive to a different location to pick these items up. This put us an hour behind our pick up reservation time. This was on a Thursday and I didn’t hear from any kind of management until the following Monday and all they did was refund $25.
