I have rented from U-Haul for well over 25 years and have used the U-Haul's trucks in moving my 3 children off to college but this visit, in all probability, will be the last time I do business with U-Haul. I am a Realtor here in Miami and am constantly recommending U-Haul to clients who either want to move themselves to save some money on moving costs or who are using U-Haul to help their now grown children move into a property of their own. This was the first time that I have ever used this particular location for myself and I am quite proud to say is not the location that I send my clients to. I only needed a pickup truck for the day and this was the location closest to me that had one available and this was the location the online system recommended for me. I would have been embarrassed to know that I had been recommending and sending clients to this particular location. I booked a reservation online (Res. #20733006) on on 3/15 for 3/16 and returning the rental truck on 3/17. The online reservation asked me to enter the mileage I would be traveling and it was approximately 300 miles round trip so I over allowed and entered a mileage amount of 325 miles. I also accepted the insurance which was an additional $11.00 and the total reflected an amount of $147.00. I printed out the reservation, with the amount of $147.00 shown) and put it in my wallet just so I would have the reservation number available if needed. When I arrived at the U-Haul location to pick up the rental truck I was told by Brianna, the representative who pulled my reservation and was preparing the paperwork, that the amount would be $177.00. I showed her my reservation with the amount listed and told her that there must be some kind of problem. She continued to tell me that my amount was incorrect and that the system reflected a charge of $177.00. She said my amount did not include the insurance, which I had actually elected to take, and showed her the email I received from U-Haul after making the reservation. I quite candidly asked her that if the rold was reversed and she had made the reservation and upon getting ready to pick up the rental truck was told that the price would be higher than what she was actually quoted what she would expect me to do at that point. She naturally did not answer my question but I'm pretty certain she would have expected me to honor the price that U-Haul had given her when making the reservation. Bladimir, the manager at this particular location, was standing at the computer terminal immediately to her right the entire time I was standing there discussing the price discrepancy. I emphatically asked Brianna if she was really going to charge a customer a higher rental price than what they were quoted from U-Haul when making the reservation. Her reply was that sometimes customers who make reservations online have problems with the quotes issued by the online reservation system. Personally I think that if that is the case then U-Haul

I made an online reservation with a rate of 37 dollars, when I get to the office to pick up the vehicle they gave me a different rata and I was told I will get a reimbursement on Monday. That didn’t happened today and actually I was charged for 19 dollars more today. I completely understand because if the miles but the base prices was higher that promised

I already set up a self pick up on Sunday at a different location close to mine.The eight steps validation of identity was a bad experience.The system asked me to provide to persons name and phone number to confirm my identity.Sunday 8 am those two people I selected,were sleeping,so the representative on the chat could not authorize my transaction.Too bad,change that method for next pick up yourself issue.
