I dropped off the uhaul 15 mins after closing because I was told on a voicemail to park there. My receipt shows an additional 50+ miles that I did not drive. I also was charged a quarter of a tank that I did not use.

This was not my preferred location. I went to my preferred location and then had to walk 6 city blocks to this location. While the service provided at this location was great, U-Haul messed it all up by bot having the truck where I requested. Major fail on U-Haul’s part!

Make it easier for your customers to drop off the rental at another location. I’ve rented from Uhaul several times. This last experience renting a truck was nothing short of a pain to try and drop off the truck at another location. I ended up driving all the way back from where I originally had rented the truck! This was not my idea of a worthy company when you can’t even drop off the truck at another location. To say the least, I was definitely disappointed with having to take the truck all the way back to where I had originally rented it from. Good thing I didn’t move to another state!

My whole Uhaul experience was awful. I reserved my truck for my pickup location im Encinitas, but on my way to get my truck I get a text "there's a problem with my reservation". I call the number on my text and Uhaul informs me, Encinitas doesn't have my truck! I instead, need to drive to Oceanside to get it.....35 min away! Now my whole move is messed up. That's not all, Uhaul charges me per mile so I have a whole bunch of extra mileage to pay for too. There's more, when I finally arrive to Oceanside, the gas tank is BELOW "E".....and the guy says "they got us again" (meaning thieves siphoned all the gas out of the truck. So, I drive straight to the gas station and run out of gas along the way! What a terrible experience. I should get a full refund. Thanks, Josh Sistar 619.840.8937

Battery was drained and was stuck for an hour until wife came to charge the battery. Location pick up was too far and got charged for the mileage when my move location was just a mile from my house. Customer service was friendly though.

This was the worst experience I could have had. The person renting me the U-Haul tried to swindle me into buying expensive insurance each of the 4 TIMES they had to revise the contract. Each time I said I didn't want it, which was frustrating to say the least. He then threatened to come and take my U-Haul of I didn't comply. This guy shouldnt be in business.

Originally booked a 26' truck at your Carlsbad location as it is near my home. Later on I was texted a message saying that I would have to pick up truck at 205 S. Coast Hwy in Oceanside which was an inconvenience. There was no explanation. Later I found out the Carlsbad location does not have 26' trucks. When I arrived at the Oceanside location the truck was NOT available. John was helping me and he was VERY pleasant and helpful. John called the person that had the truck and he said he might be able to have the truck back in 4 hours, so obviously that did not work. There was one 15' truck available and I told John I would have to make that work. He said he would waive the daily rental fee for my inconvenience You can check records and find that I NEVER purchase the Safe move fees. John did not indicate to me that I was paying that. His form is different than the Uhaul paperwork I am accustomed to. So I received my invoice today and I was charged $28 safe fee and $59.90 daily rental fee that was supposed to be waived. They were closed at 4:30pm, when it said they were open till 5:00pm. I was not happy. I had to look up their number & call. The person who answered said they didn’t have any returns booked so they left for the day! Anyway, they had me unlock their gate, leave the truck & receipt, and then lock everything back up, pretty unprofessional if you ask me. It all ended up working but it was a little disconcerting.

I picked up the truck in Oceanside and was supposed to drop it off in Murrieta. The individual helping must of not understand what I wanted and I was unavailable to drop the truck off in Murrieta. Due to his negligence of not making this happen they ended up charging me extra for the mileage when it wasn’t my fault of the commission of the paperwork. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Also when I drop the truck off they said they would take care of it. I feel that by not telling me there was an extra charge is not really being taken care off.

Good afternoon, I love uhaul, been a customer for 15 years. Paid over 20 grand in storage and trucks fees over all these years. Sorely disappointed the uhaul had broken glass and reaked of cologne when I got it. The guy put a quarter of a tank and 50 miles more on it when he gave it to me. The tires and windshield wipers were so bad we had to stop at a hotel for $150 to carry on when it stopped raining. You left a really bad impression and will be looking into other options for my next move. One disappointed customer,

Dropping it off was easier of course It had nothing to with their inventory or providing services. I was handing them back something so it required no effort. Honestly what I got from the 4 locations I dealt with in Los Angeles was that corporate over books them and they don't care and they have to deal with the angry customers.

I filed a complaint- I have had no return call- the original location that I was to drop off to did not exist, I spent nearly 2 hours driving in circles trying to locate a place to drop off at, I wasted my time and added miles to the rental- I am extremely unhappy with Uhaul and will use Penske in the future -I called customer service wile driving in circles and had to explain to the representative that they should be empathetic, say I am sorry and be human in the interaction- if my employees had a lack of empathy when they answered the phone I would send them back to empathy training-I am very unhappy with Uhaul

Mileage for van was inaccurate by 100 miles. Discovered after I left Oceanside

There was no vehicle inspection prior to the signing of paper work. I was given the paper to sign, given the keys (with the previous order still attached to them) and sent on my way. The Paper work showed the fuel at just under Half full. The Tank was actually on almost empty, and the fuel light came on 10 miles after driving off the lot. The vehicle had also not been cleaned out. A cardboard cup jacket and a padlock int he cab i can overlook. But when I opened the back I found a stained old mattress pad, blanket and pillow back there. There had clearly been no inspection of this vehicle prior to renting it to customers and the staff were apparently too busy to follow the proper procedures to getting their customers started.
