Checkout of trailer was a bit frustrating. A walkaround of Trailer return was kind of picky. He mentioned a scrape on bottom of trailer? Pre inspection went great tho. No biggie, you’re my favorite store.

I have used UHaul a few times and I have always had great service-nice people and good products. When I made my reservation in-store last week I was completely taken aback by the poor customer experience. Robin was rude, seemingly lacking in demeanor and experience, yet seemed to not acknowledge her misplaced behavior during my polite attempts to nudge things in the right direction. She insulted me as a mother and chided my child’s behavior. While impatient, he was still well behaved. As a mother I have never objectified him the way she did. I hope management trains her in people skills, and customer empathy. On my return visit to pickup, and again to return the UHaul, service was again back to “normal” as I had avoided that individual, although overheard her serving another customer and she seemed well serving then. All of the other individuals I encountered with UHaul have always been great, hence my reason for feeling compelled to respond to your survey request and inform. Best regards, Emma-Rose

The cabs smell a bit like cigarette smoke i know it's a hard smell to get rid of....trucks definitely need brighter headlights. Very dim and hard to see. Old skool bulbs. Other than that great experience

Reserved a 15 foot U-Haul a few days prior to moving and they called the day before to say they only had 10 foot available. They doubled my miles just in case I needed to take more trips and the total cost ended up being the same it was for a 15 foot. The man who helped us was rude and not very helpful the day of when we had questions, I recommend using a different moving service.

I had originally reserved my trailer online as a local using this location. As I was on my way there, they called me to tell me that the idiot that had rented the trailer before me still hadn't returned it. They then asked if I could call them back around 2pm to see if it was back yet!!! My reservation was set on Friday for a Monday 10am pickup. also, why in the hell would I have to call them? Why aren't they calling me to tell me when the idiot has returned the trailer? Also, why didn't they try to accommodate me and find me a trailer at another location instead of telling me to check back in a few hours? Like I have nothing better to do on my busy Monday after a long holiday weekend??? Sure I can just sit around for 4 hours while you figure out nothing??? I had to call the costa mesa office to get 1 way trailer wait in line for 40 mins, and then take the damn trailer back to this stupid location to drop it off? Now they have plenty of trailers I guess??? Nice of me to deliver it to their door and pay twice as much as I should have while being totally inconvenienced and having to do all the leg work myself??? You guys SUCK!!!!! If you ever want my business again you should refund me the difference of the local and the 1 way rental. otherwise you'll never have this longtime customers business again! tell your reservation people to have a plan not excuses when they call a customer to tell them you've dropped the ball.

Pick up and return was quick ,painless and professional. I've used this uhaul location three times and it has only gotten better with each visit.

Streamline pickup to bypass inside counter if application fully done online, as mine was. Had to wait in line at counter, wait in line again for someone to help in the yard. Self serve on furniture dolly, trailer was dirty, could use a power wash inside and out - I borrowed a broom to sweep out debris myself. Upon return, the two yard guys were inefficient, both checking in the truck before me without communicating to each other, while I waited. Vehicles were randomly parked all over the yard without any flow, and trailers not put away causing chaos. Not at all like my excellent first trip here in December last year. If there were a local alternative, I wouldn’t be back. Gotta work on process and training!

The communication between employees was lacking. A tow trailer was not avail upon pickup of the truck so we were told we would get upgraded at no charge but it was broken so we had to come back after 6pm to pick it up after it was fixed. Upon our return, the lady at the front desk tried charging us $90+. Then when my husband asked for help to load the car onto the trailer as we wanted it done properly for safety of us and all other drivers on the road, the lady tried saying that would be an ADDITIONAL $25. Then, she proceeded to say they don't help load vehicles after 5pm because the guy that takes care of that goes home at 5. As a rental company, it should be Uhaul's duty and responsibility to teach and help load vehicles on their trailers when the customer is not comfortable to assure safety to passengers and fellow drivers on the road. Charging extra hidden fees may prevent people from getting needed help leading to improperly loaded vehicles on the road.
